        1. Fuck u wack to wack more like wack to ima gonna fuck your biatchh lil lab ass nigga lil ass biatch…there will never be someone that can do what drake does …pussy hoe ass nigga

        1. You mean Apple and all the other companies he works for is running things. Because if knowledgeable hiphop heads actually voting on this he wouldn’t be up for half the awards he is up for. NO LIE NO LIE Lol

    1. This award show is based on radio plays and streams last year Scarface had album of the yr and he did not get on nomination and Future did SMH SMH SMH. Future has never dropped a album that is remotely close to anything Scarface has ever done. This fake trap show is 999million times over BS.

      1. I quit watching 3-4 years ago. It’s not about content and quality it’s about popularity and who’s company will donate a lil cash to get these awards. Jay Z didn’t have a good year at all and he is on hustler of the year nominees tidal has been falling, That album of the year category is the worst I have ever seen it . Kendrick is lyricist of the year but he’s album not up for album of the year was it nominated last year if it was kendrick shouldn’t even be up for lyricist of the year he ain’t did that many features. Why did they choose khaled as the host knowing he would be nominated in so many catergories. They should add a interesting different category like go back in reward people from the past, like artist of the year in 91, 92, 93 etc.

        1. They should add a interesting different category like go back in reward people from the past, like artist of the year in 91, 92, 93 etc. = I’m pretty sure that’s what the “I Am Hip Hop” Award represents.

          1. Who got it this year Snoop??? The same guy that was the host the last 2 years right. Did he actually deserve it or was it a buddy system award. Either way it goes the show hasn’t been good imo. I guess I just don’t enjoy the new generation rappers. I like Bryson Tiller music but I don’t think he is hiphop. I’ll just stick to Nas, Bone thugs, Tupac, Outkast, AZ and through in a little Nipsey, Gibbs, Krit and Nick Grant.

          2. Dude, where’s my freedom of speech? Is it wrong to say these artists are nothing but puppets by the tribe who owns the labels? What’s offensive about that? It’s the truth.

          3. Love the deleting of opposing views about these “powerful black men” in the music industry, when they are nothing but fuckin puppets used to promote immoral values and criminal behaviour.

        2. so u follow kendrick to know if he did enough features this year but not enough to know if he dropped an album….seems legit.

          1. You didn’t read that right, I know to pimp a butterfly was released in 2015 what I don’t know is if it was nominated on last years awards. Kendrick without a doubt is the best lyricist in the game, well at least on the mainstream level, but doesn’t the award have to be base on what you do in the year not what your capable of doing.

            1. Untitled Unmastered. Holy Key, That Part, Really Doe, Wats Wrong. Kendrick been out here this year m8

            2. Def get what you saying I just feel like you need a album out to be considered lyricist of the year that’s just my opinion, I’m not hating on Kendrick he is prob the best overall rapper right now, but some of the nominations on the show just don’t make much sense. I put the untitled with to pimp a butterfly I don’t see it as a seperate album. I also feel like Interscope is not pushing Kendrick that much doesn’t seem like they are spending the type of money they should on him and I know they are the ones keeping him from really throwing shots at drake like he prob wants. Jimmy Ivoine can’t let that happen (APPLE MUSIC) Every Since that “And nothing has been the same since I drop control and tuck the sensitive rapper back in they pajama clothes” It seems as if he was to force to not go at drake.

            3. You dont need an album to be considered Lyricist of the Year you need dope Lyrics. You need an album to get nominated for album of the year

            4. Untitled Unmastered. Black Friday, Holy Key, That Part, Really Doe, Wats Wrong. Kendrick been out here this year m8 my eyes are fine and consider they dont only nominate from only 2016 stuff also some of the things starting from around august of 2015

    2. G-damn!! It’s like the same 3-4 names EVERYWHERE!! I guess only 4 hip-hop records came out during the last year… smh.

      1. Yep that tells you everything you need to know, It’s Rigged for real lol, The same companies that are controlling the radio control the awards. I am happy to see Fat Joe and Remy win but that record was blasted on the radio because not only was it a hot song but Joe had to be connected to someone to get it played like that or spend some money in the right places, we all know even if a song is hot, dope or great it’s not getting radio play without the universal lubricant lol. But still happy to see Joe and Remy win

    3. With all this BS they might as well went in through DJ Khaled in the Lyricist of the year Category. Bring Back the Source Awards. That nigga wasn’t lying when he said they were going to take hiphop from us. If you a real hiphop head you know this shit is over with as far as on a mainstream level. Thank goodness for the internet though, get to find good rappers without the mainstream pollution. Shout out Freddie Gibbs, Nipsey Hussle, Big Krit, if yall like dope music and lyrics check out Nick Grant from Atlanta dude is dope my homegirl from Atl put on to his music dude is a mix of Nas and krit.

    4. First of all, fuck DJ Khaled. Second, Hotline Bling was released in July 2015, over a year ago. How did it win the award for Best Hip Hop Video?

          1. yeah, but his music video for hotline bling was released in october 15, so peace off bruhh…anyway, F.DjK and drakes albums wasnt dope, and these awards are RACIST

            1. It is, on unconscious level. When you trying to separate one particular race from other its already racist. It doesnt make any harm for other people, but its racist unconsciously. Imagine yellow folks now giving awards to only yellow people in America with buzz that match black friday. So no Mj, no khaled (ohh i wish) not even drake (even he is tony parker, not real black) – it would make lotta people go nuts. If we’re creating one civilizational world, these awards and similar shit must fade away. period

            2. …..It is, on unconscious level. When you trying to separate one particular race from other its already racist. It doesnt make any harm for other people, but its racist unconsciously. 1. first of all, fuck dj khaled and secondly, hasn’t chance the rapper been around for like 5 years now…how is he new artist of the year

    5. maaa F this B.S… im not here watching this wack a** “i am hip hop “… many sections here aint legit… still same old shit, no innovation, drake a phony ass whack fake bitch…. i dislike that b*** “no OOFFENCE” but for real, why the hell would someone put untittled and TPAB in the same section, like for what….. this shit is getting to me daily and shit gotta start becoming new…. this industry is fucked up… thats the reason why kevin gates prolly aint give a gram of fuck to this bullshit bullcrap…… piss of shit pissing on a nigga ……

    6. As always, they sleep on real hip hop! Where are all the best artists? Not in this list for sure…
      Pusha T, Game…

    7. Award for realest rapper of the year goes to: GUCCI MANE! Award for studiogangster of the years goes to: Dr Dre

    8. I like how Dre was up for producer of the year even though he hasn’t produced anything in years. The man didn’t even produce his own Compton album. Might as well throw up Eminem for lyricist of the year too just because if he actually decides to put out an album he would be up there.

    9. next year It’ll be the D.R.A.K.E “HipHop” awards, hosted by Drake with categories that include best Drake album, best song in this particular album, best collab on that particular album, best drake verse on each individual song, and finally the best album we didnt mention last year because we didnt think it got enough awards, award.

    10. How is Kendrick Lyricist of the Year when he hasnt dropped an album since early last year?
How is Chance a New Rapper. Hes been around for awhile now.
BET is Garbage and doesnt even represent HipHop or Rap correctly.

      1. Look here Dummy Kendrick had untitled out march of this year,You would knw that if u were that hiphop head u portraying to be

    11. if you still watch this hold this L

      all these rappers are soft
also what happened to the cyphers? o yea because all these rappers have ghost writers

    12. Once again the same 5 artist with other terrible cats sprinkled in. We need a true hip hop awards this is the sheep awards. . The same people would get nominated if they farted on a record.
