This past weekend, possessions of Death Row Records founder Suge Knight were sold off in order to pay off storage debts. Several crates of the mogul’s furniture, clothing and gym equipment were auctioned off to California buyers after he failed to pay  Conejo Valley Moving & Storage owner Joe Furmidge, according to the Ventura County Star.

The assets came from Knight’s former Malibu mansion which was also sold in 2008 following an ’06 bankruptcy. Auctioneers Dan and Laura Dotson said that the Hip Hop businessman’s fame attracted a number of potential buyers. “The name that is behind it,” said Laura Dotson, “I think a lot of curiosity is here and people wanting to own a little bit of that.”

According to the newspaper, a flat-screen television was sold for $230, a large photo with Knight and late Rap artist Tupac Shakur went for $100, and other items were sold for relatively low prices. The auction garnered $4,500, which almost covered Knight’s bill.

“It didn’t quite cover what he owed us, but almost,” said Furmidge. “That’s better than a stick in the eye.”
