Even though he’s the co-host of “106 & Park,” Bow Wow says that he has no plans to stop rapping.
“I’m still actively making music, man,” Bow Wow says during an interview with RealTalkNYVideo. “I’m never going to stop that. I remember having a conversation with [Ice] Cube when we was filming [the 2010 film] Lottery Ticket and I told him, I said, ‘You know what? I got this bug where I think I want to retire.’ He was like, ‘Retire for what? You can keep rapping forever. I ain’t stop rapping yet.’ I see him now doing his thing on tour with Public Enemy and everybody [on the ‘Kings Of The Mic Tour’], so when you get that type of lesson from a legend like Cube, you definitely want to take that into consideration. I consider myself a young legend in the game. I ain’t made it to where my big homies made it yet, like Snoop [Dogg], Cube and all of those guys… I’m going to always continue to make music. Right now I feel like I’m at my best now because I’ve learned so much. I’m growing. I’m raising an almost three-year-old girl in this world and just becoming a man and evolving…I’m never going to put the mic down. Never.”
Bow Wow appears on the track “Panties To The Side” with French Montana, Gudda Gudda and Tyga on the eponymous Rich Gang compilation, which was released last month. He also says in the interview that he records on the weekends and that he’s being considered for a number of film roles, including a Steven Spielberg film as well as the third installment of The Hunger Games film franchise.
Even though his role on ‘106 & Park’ is as a host, Bow Wow says that he views the position similar to the one Martin Lawrence and Will Smith had earlier in their careers with their sitcoms. “I look at it like ‘106’ is like my ‘Martin,’ my ‘[The] Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air,’” Bow Wow says. “That’s what it reminds me of for me. It’s no different than me having my own sitcom on TV, but I do now with ‘106.’”

just out of curiosity who is bow wows fan base? the now grown ass women who at 13 and 14 years old loved him?
except 20 years from now no one gonna be watching 106 & park re runs
Very good Bow Wow. The rap game needs you.
It’s over, son.
Damn you Ice Cube.
You beat me to it.
No matter what you say about Bow Wow, if you really follow hip hop you can’t deny he put his mark on the game when he was younger and first coming out. He still has yet to find his true sound and his own signature style, but he’s still important to hip hop in some ways that can’t be denied. If you really know hip hop you’d admit that at the very least. Hopefully he’s able to turn things around and put out some real shit, and not this corny shit he’s trying to put out to try and keep up.
He’s identifying with the demographic being on the show, on the cable channel where his movies get spins. Add that with F&F and he’s in a good space. Better than whatever JD could do right now.
WHEN IS HE GONNA REALIZE HE’S TOO SHORT AND KIDDISH LOOKING TO BE A BOX OFFICE MOVIE STAR. HE’LL NEVER BE WILL SMITH OR MARTIN LAWRENCE.
I wish someone would tell him this to his face
most of these celebs are short though, lol
Martin Lawrence is a has been now.

This after he points out that he’s growing up and “evolving” because he’s raising a 3 year old girl.
Bow Wow is a joke. Without 106 and Park he’d be a homeless crackhead. He ain’t a real nigga like Drake. OVO all day! Nothing Was The Same will be another classic.
Bow wow is fucking wack!!
Fuck panties on the side….Panties across the room muthafucka!!!!
In that case, BET should toss him out the crib like Jazz, followed by a “YOU AIN’T GOT NO JOB!”, like Tommy.
bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbut aint that kinda backwards tho???? Bow wow started out in music and acting, then went to tv (his “sitcom”), while martin and will started out in sitcoms, then went to big screens, (music and big screen with will)
FUCK!!! lil bow wow Fuck Em!
He can keep rapping all he wants, don’t mean people will buy his shit
Wasnt he not gay or something?

God, I hate this nigga. First he wants to retire from rap, now he’ll never stop rapping. All he does is go back and forth, this nigga has been in the game WAY too long to not be relevant or one of the top artists.
