T-Pain Instagrams $1.4M Hospital Bill

T-Pain’s bank account is taking a hit. In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday (December 26), the platinum-selling singer revealed he must pay a jaw-dropping $1.4 million bill for his brother’s recent stay in the hospital.

The Auto-Tune expert expressed gratitude for the care that kept his brother alive but threw in a facepalm emoji due to the extreme expenses.

“I first wanna say thank you to all the ppl that were involved in keeping my brother alive,” he wrote. “I can’t express enough gratitude to the medical staff that kept my family whole. My brother was in two hospitals for a total of a month and some change. Just got the bills.”

T-Pain didn’t disclose what his brother was suffering from that required such costly care. The Billboard chart-topper posted one bill for $1,132,746.67 and another tallying $270,231.40. In total, T-Pain and his family owe $1,402,978 and some change.

Earlier this month, Teddy Pain’s funds were making headlines when he sued his former management company. The veteran artist sought more than $1 million in damages and the commissions he paid out to Chase Entertainment, which was allegedly unlicensed during T-Pain’s stint with the agency.

Chase fired back by claiming T-Pain “squandered” millions during their time in business together. They also described him as having “self-destructive conduct” in his finances.

        1. Public option, he was in private insurance pocket. Medicaid already took care of the impoverished we didn’t need mandatory healthcare unless a public option was going to be on the table. 11k a year for me my wife and son and I’m wealthy by no means purchasing group insurance

          1. In Canada, group insurance is in some cases offered by your employer, however others cover a portion and the employee has the option to pay the difference for full benefits including coverage of immediate family members.

            It works.

Only drawback is long waiting periods for emergency room visits and certain medical examinations… such as MRIs and ECGs.

            1. We also have two tiered medical care up here. Not everyone waits. I do though, I’m a regular person.

    1. only in america …that´s crazy insane
i dont care what he had ,i´ve lived in a few other countries and only here a bill like that is possible

      1. Because your medical system is ran like a for profit business.

Medical institutions and their investors along with the doctors are making a killing off the killing of the people.

No moral compass in the U S of A apparently.

    2. We don’t have those problems in CANADA! I will never understand how the riches nation does not have affordable healthcare smfh! They got money for wars but cant feed the poor. You listen to old pac records and they are still relevant today. Dead Prez said it best together the ant colony can take over the elephant, make some changes people.

      1. Facts, I’ve been observing and throwing in my 2 cents over the years from beautiful British Columbia.

It appears Americans are inherently prejudiced and racially motivated. Either that or the populous are so disillusioned or misinformed, that common sense will never come into effect concerning universal healthcare.

Keep in mind, that aforementioned 1.4 million will have to be paid to some entity or individual. Their medical system is a fucking business concerned with the bottom line.

THEY DO NOT CARE FOR THEIR PEOPLE. Facts….. but rather waste billions on mercenaries to destroy other cultures. Hopeless society and people, frankly I feel sorry for them.

        1. Shouts from VanCity.

Yeah, watching our southern retarded cousin flail about is tragically hilarious in the best way possible. What else can you expect from a nation so ignorant that half don’t even believe in climate change? You got famous celebs talking about the world being flat! Pathetic.

    3. In Most countries in the World, Hospital and health care are free, like Canada, Cuba, all of Europe, India, Pakistan, China, both Korea’s and some South American countries. But we has the best military in the world thanks to all the poor Americans who join it. Thanks.

        1. Do you know that as fact? Wait for how long for heathcare? There are doctor offices in every plaza in my city, the same can be said about the city beside me and so on. These are the bullshit lies aka “propaganda” ur government sells u to justify fucking u over. U dont even know where any of ur tax dollars go, I do, it helps fund ur Industrial prison complex another REALLY fucked up situation. Stop with the 40% tax rate nonsesene, if that what it costs to get a doctor to look in my throat when im sick, if a chop off my fingers i get then put back on, i need a blood test i can get, thats my right as a CANADIAN most importantly my right as human being. You have to at least wonder why cant I have the same in a country where we have billions of dollars to fund wars and pay for weaponry for a war over a water port that’ll cost 13 million peoples lives in Yemen. Get ur facts ur straight, ur taking that info from somone that’ll tell u that Global warming is a myth. AMERICANS WAKE UP! Its like yall gave up the fight ever since u got civil rights.

    4. I agree, our medical system is a joke. But let’s not get too pretentious about the money for wars hypocrisy here. Some of you on here talking crazy are probably from a country that benefits from the US defense budget. Let’s not go too far talking shit…

    5. In 2014, the average single individual earning roughly $42,000 in Canada will pay $4,381 for taxes which goes to public health care insurance.

      1. It is not about healthcare not being for free. It is about how society takes care of each other and to which extent this is executed. The USA has clearly made the most anti-socal choice one could imagine.
Those $4,381 (if this number is correct) are not only spend on other people, but will also give oneself access to affordable healhcare. The american system inevatibly amounts to people being bancrupt because of health issues. This is just “Sad!” as your rhetorical gifted President would say.

        1. Exactly.

It’s a common misunderstanding healthcare being free. In The Netherlands, every citizen gotta pay an x amount money every month for healthcare. That’s to cover healthcare expenses for EVERY citizen in our country. It might be that you pay that monthly amount, but don’t get to no hospital for years. But whenever you have to, you don’t have to pay a ridiculous sum of money after. The healthcare system is being designed to share the load together and, when in need, benefit from it.
