Cops Called After RZA Flips Out On Hospital Staff

RZA reportedly rushed his son to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday morning (October 13). According to TMZ, police were called to the scene after the Wu-Tang Clan mastermind let loose on the ER staff for not properly taking care of his child.

He was allegedly so irate, a hospital supervisor was compelled to call in authorities. By the time the cops arrived, RZA had stopped screaming and already collected himself. Police saw no reason to cite him for any wrongdoing and soon left.

RZA and his son stayed behind at the hospital, although there are no details on the child’s medical condition.

RZA and the rest of the Wu are heading to Australia in December for multiple sold out performances at the Sydney Opera House.

The acclaimed producer/MC is also putting the final touches on his upcoming film Cut Throat City, which is expected to arrive next year.

    1. Sounds like most parents in that situation, panicky, a sense of urgency, fear etc.. The staff are in that “I’m at work” mode.. it’s nothing new. Hospital staff are generally very professional, they probably could’ve reassured him that little bit more to chill him out, without calling the Police or even Security

    2. Yeah, hospital staff behave matter-of-factly in the face of what may seem like a life or death situation because they deal with that shit every day and it’s nothing new. Meanwhile, parents and loved ones of the sick do not–so they flip out and wonder why everyone else isn’t panicking like they are. It’s all good, no one’s to fault. Hey, is that Chandler Bing starring in 2009 Again alongside Zac Efron? I gotta go watch this movie on HBO, so this conversation has to be put on hold. Sorry all.
