Jimmy Kimmel put Snoop Dogg on the spot during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! when he asked the West Coast O.G. to name his three favorite rappers of all time. The D-O-Double-G obliged and listed two legends while simultaneously showing a little love to himself.
“Slick Rick, Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg,” he told Kimmel, eliciting thunderous applause from the audience.
Snoop and the late-night host also got into a hilarious discussion about his vacation with Tupac. Snoop, who inducted Pac into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, told an entertaining tale of their first time parasailing.
“We went to some island somewhere in South America,” he said. “I had just won my murder case, he had just bailed out, so we wanted to go somewhere just to get away. Suge [Knight] had took us parasailing and we was riding in the boat. We didn’t know what parasailing was. We was just riding in the boat, sitting next to each other and then all of a sudden, we start flying in the air. The boat started separating away from us and they dropped us in the water. We was like, ‘Hold on, man! There could be sharks or anything down here. Get us back up.’ They just kept playing games with us.”
Snoop is currently promoting his upcoming album Neva Left, which is scheduled to drop on Friday (May 19). The LP features guest appearances from Method Man, Redman, Too $hort, Devin the Dude and B-Real, among others. Listen to two tracks off the project here and watch the interview above.
I have to say that Ice Cube is on my top 10 of all time list. His storytelling on AMW & DC was slick and funny as shit. Once Upon a Time in the Projects, You Can’t Fade Me, and Givin’ Up the Nappy Dug Out is funny as hell.
