Mobb Deep Officially Reunites, Ready To Move On From Past Beefs & Record New Music

Prodigy and Havoc have made amends, and are ready to record new music.

Mobb Deep fans can rejoice that their favorite group has completed potentially the shortest breakup in Rap group history.

In an interview with MTV News Prodigy and Havoc spoke on moving on from their heated beef last year, which resulting in Mobb Deep going on indefinite hiatus. "At the end of the day, the music is the most important thing and our love for each other it's only right we're gonna get right back to work," said Prodigy.

Havoc admitted that he actually sent tweets insulting Prodigy and questioning his sexuality, despite Prodigy previously denying that. "The tweets definitely happened and I take my part in that," said Havoc. "When family goes through things it's like, they shouldn't be handled in the streets. I definitely take responsibility for that."

Prodigy explained that, ultimately, the duo's longstanding friendship was too much to overcome. "Me and Hav got a different type of relationship man. We been through a lot of stuff growing up, just personal stuff," said P. "When you dealing with somebody for that long every day, you're gonna have your little squabbles or whatever, it's nothing."

"Collectively, people love the music, and why would we take that away from them?" asked Havoc. "The bottom line is we're smarter than all the BS, we're smarter than," added Prodigy. "Way smarter than that. Trust me, we're still here for a reason, we ain't stupid."

"Im sure you have every album" I'd rather have every Ross album than anything from the Nas collection of tired, boring songs that make Drake seem like ACDC.

"But if people like Nas or Kendrick they must be in tune, right? Seriously... Calling anyone stupid for liking a certain rapper is borderline retarded." ^ Quote-Man said this on the Ross article after he typed that above

NIGGA, Please! Rick Ross is no where near the talent of Nas. You wish. There isn't a single album or a single song Rick Ross has EVER done in his career thats better than anything Nas has done. You truly deserve a NIGGA please moment here.

No one cared before they "broke up" which with how easy they are back at it seems like a stunt to me. Sorry guys, no one cares. It's not the 90's any more. Hang it up. How do you go from saying your buddy sucks d**k, to saying were buddies? Does that mean he's sucking your d**k? follow at noles506

Ignorant shits talkin bout because they broke. Probably blaring Ace Hood's Bugatti song out of your mothers LeSabre. Even though Ace Hood could never afford a bugatti...never. Does the dude even have an album? or is he making mad "gwap" off mixtapes? No one from the next generation has one classic album, not one.

"Ross and 2Chainz are just as old and rap about being thugs with guns and money and killing" People don't judge content. They judge if their songs have good beats, and are catchy. Ross and 2 Chainz know how to make the kind of music people want to hear. Mobb Deep used to have a clue, but after that G Unit inspired garbage everything collapsed. Now it's not so much their age, it's their obvious lack of desire.

"Mobb Deep is going to make hardcore stomp-your" They haven't done anything hardcore in years.

I got love for Mobb Deep....they truly made classics. Now in this here today gone tomorrow short term internet hits I would love to hear another raw Mobb album without the Wiz Khalifa's, Drake's and Justin Bieber features. I am trying to forget HNIC 3 like a trauma. A Kool G Rap feature would be dope

  • Sensaye

Why is it that you niggas equate everything to whether or not someone has money. You sound like teenage girls. "He got more money den him"..."uh-uh, he broke"...."Oooh, he rich". If you got a sack between your legs then you shouldn't give a fuck how much money the next man is making. Just worry about the music. Yes, Mobb Deep is going to make hardcore stomp-your-fuckin-head-in-the-ground music...GOOD. That's what they do. That's their forte. I'm looking forward to it. I don't wanna hear these niggas taking political stances and trying to be conscious and shit. I wanna hear some Bloodsport shit from the masters of the genre. You niggas can go listen to that pretty shit and pretend you're rich.

Put out The Infamous 2 and retire.

@everybody: just shut the fuck up. music is what matters, be judge after they drop new material.

  • mobb sleep

Lol they broke so they are back together. They made some great music in the 90' but its now 2013. So what is Mobb Deep gonna rap about: - im a thug - i kill you - i have guns - i have money. Hmm so you are 40 years old and rapping about this shit????? Hmm you never were gangster. im smoking weed or jaywalking isnt that gangster to get arrested for. Hmm was prodigy not a ballerina? Jay Z told us that. Hmm to me these clowns are fake like rick ross.

    • Anonymous

Prodigy wasnt a ballerina it was a michael jackson outfit. If I recall, when Michael died, all these rappers came out the wood works and said how much he influenced them.

    • Anonymous

Niggas like Ross and 2Chainz are just as old and rap about being thugs with guns and money and killing. At least mobb deep has classics

  • rick

Guess what, nobody cares...and thats coming from a true 80s baby golden era hip hop head. They are ready to move past the beef because they are broke. So make that album even though you have nothing good to say any more, sell your 30K albums and chop up 75-100K after takes.

  • MXL

Their whole beef was corny as fuck. Very disappointing to see a pair of legends -- even though it was mostly Havoc -- acting like bitches.
