Mobb Deep To Perform At Paid Dues Festival 2013, Embark On 20th Anniversary Tour

Mobb Deep is ready to put the past behind them and get back to the music.

Following a report from TMZ that the pair will reunite at Paid Dues Festival 2013 and launch a 20th anniversary tour, HipHopDX has confirmed with the group’s publicist that Prodigy and Havoc will patch up their differences and hit the live circuit.

The group will set it off at the Festival on March 30th. The New York City, New York natives join a lineup that includes Black HippyMacklemore & Ryan LewisDom KennedyTech N9ne, Immortal TechniqueDe La SoulHopsinJoey Bada$ and Grouch & Eligh. Then, P and Hav will hit the road on their international 20th anniversary tour in April.

Trouble for the group began last April, when Havoc took to Twitter to put Prodigy on blast, claiming that he had homosexual relationships while in prison. He later denied the tweets were his own, stating that he left his phone at a gas station and someone posted from his account. An audio recording was released shortly after where he continued to air out P, a clip that he also denied was of him. Just days later, they were pictured together at a New York Knicks game.

Sources said that fans shouldn’t expect another album, and in July, Havoc later confirmed he sent his tweets, stating that Mobb Deep was on an indefinite hiatus.

Last month, Prodigy said that he was “sure” that Mobb Deep would release another album. “I love Mobb Deep…Mobb Deep made my life what it is,” he said. “Havoc feels the same way, so we’ll be right back to work. For right now, he’s doing his thing and I’m doing my thing. I’ve got goals I’m trying to accomplish, and I really can’t let nothing sidestep me or get in the way of that. If that means I gotta put Mobb Deep on standby for the time being, then so be it.”

    1. we dont need these washed up rappers who are 40 years old and acting if they are the pablo escobar from queens. Get a life you fucking studiogangsters.

      1. i’ll take the mobb over these skinny jean sagging faggots rapping about molly any day

who do you listen to btw? no studio gangsters or rappers in their late 30’s? yeah right

      2. hahaha most stupid comment ever seen here. why do you listen to hip hop? do you really think those people are real gangsters lol? how stupid can a human being be, facepalm faggot

    2. What the fuck does it matter if they are 40? So that means they cant make dope music cause they older then these wack ass youngins in the game now? That type of mentality is the plague of hip-hop…Go run in to traffic or sniff lines of Asbestos..Thanx

    3. what BUMS. havoc calls p a faggot. tries to go solo. realizes he has NO fans. makes nice with prodigy.

guess what guys? after dissing each other, you lost ALL your FANS.

no one wants to hear them solo and after this BS no one wants to hear them as a group. this isn’t about making good music it’s about making money. irreparable damage was done. i wouldn’t work with anyone who said i was homo, unless it was just stating fact.

      1. so you spoke to every mobb deep fan and confirmed that they are no longer fans anymore? right

        speak for yourself bud

      2. cuz black cocaine did so well before anyone knew havoc thought p was faggot.

they were done 10 years ago. only delusional net babies that follow them on twitter waiting for new work to download think they got something in the tank.

when mobb was good rap was good. long time ago.

      3. Ya, no doubt. Mobb was good when rap was good, which was a very long time ago. It’s been many years since Mobb Deep dropped any kind of GOOD music.

    4. one washed up midget drunk (Havoc), one wildly inconsistent midget bi-sexual (Prodigy)…

      the dream team is back!!

    5. I respect Mobb Deep for their past work but I don’t know about this.
