Micranots Announce Reunion Show, "Obelisk Movements" Re-Release

After nearly a decade, I Self Devine and DJ Kool Akiem team up again for a homecoming concert and a re-release of their 2000 sophomore album, "Obelisk Movements."

Following a nine-year hiatus, Minneapolis, Minnesota duo the Micranots have announced a reunion show in March. I Self Devine and DJ Kool Akiem will play their native city's 7th Street Entry venue on March 30. The event coincides with the digital and CD re-release of the group's 2000 album, Obelisk Movements on March 26.

The album was originally released on the New York-based Sub Verse Music, at a time when the group relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. The effort followed the duo's 1996 debut, Return Of The Travellahs, which was an early release on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Following 2004's Emperor & Assassin, the group parted ways.

I Self Devine has remained active with RSE, with a series of 2012 releases. In May of last year, he dropped The Sound Of Low Class Amerika.
