Seems like every time Weezy is on a track with an artist (no matter how legit that artist is), they either murder Wayne, or they have to dumb the track down (lyrically and/or musically) and that’s no different here. I gave it three for Erykah.
Its so disappointing when you take a legit artist with real credible musical talent, who feels the song, who makes the song and makes you feel the song, and then try to add with them a circus act rapper who cares little of your connection with the song but rather on you idolizing his status as a rich asshole. I was feelin Erykah, cuz she was trying to make music, I wasnt feeling Wayne, cuz he was trying to earn a few more dollars.
erykah…cuz she is sacrificin her respect for possible commercial success and also money. imo thats the only reason why an artist like her wud feature weezy
I love Miss Badu, and I know that this song will grow on me, but I can’t stand looking at this video. The distorted visual effects freak me out. No kidding.
If it wasn’t for the crappy imagery, this would be a 5/5.
