Bay Area mainstay Yukmouth will re-enter the mixtape game on February 19 with the release of Yukmouth Presents: The Regime—Last Dragon. The free project will serve as a precursor to his full-length offering, Yukmouth Presents: The Regime—Dragon Gang, which is slated for a March 12th release via his own Smoke-A-Lot Records imprint.
The former Luniz member has been keeping a relatively low profile since 2010’s Free At Last by primarily focusing on compilation DVDs, including his United Ghettos of America series.
Yukmouth initially rose to prominence in 1995 when Luniz’s “I Got 5 On It” peaked at the No. 5 position on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. He’s maintained a loyal following, and the aforementioned Free At Last was billed as Yuk’s first truly independent album after a four-album stint at Rap-A-Lot that began in 1998.
