A Young Thug trial witness has been tossed in jail for contempt after he refused to testify against the YSL boss.
The YSL RICO trial once again made headlines on Friday (June 7), when YSL affiliate Lil Woody (real name Kenneth Copeland) took the stand and invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

Lil Woody invoked the Fifth even for the most basic questions, such as “How old are you?” When he refused to answer even those questions, Judge Ural Glanville ordered him to be held in willful contempt of court until Monday (June 10), since the prosecution had already offered him an immunity deal in exchange for his testimony against Young Thug. In response, Thugga’s attorney Brian Steel filed a motion for a mistrial.
It is unclear if the immunity deal will be revoked if Lil Woody continues to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights.

Lil Woody is just the latest witness who refuses to testify against Young Thug.
Previously, YFN Lucci made headlines when he also refused to testify against the “Gang Up” rapper earlier this month.

The decision was confirmed in court by the prosecution after the judge asked if the rapper would be taking the witness stand.
The prosecutor replied: “At this juncture, we do not believe he will be testifying.”

Despite remaining on the state’s witness list, Lucci had previously refused to testify in the case.
The rapper’s attorney previously stated: “Any party can announce, for example, that Abraham Lincoln is on their witness list, but those words alone are meaningless. So, to be 100 percent clear, Rayshawn Bennett (YFN Lucci) will not be a witness in the YSL case.”
YFN Lucci became involved in the case after it was alleged that Young Thug ordered a hit on the rapper, who was stabbed in jail in 2022. Two YSL affiliates were allegedly behind the attack.
Lucci later commented on his refusal to testify: “Even in a earthquake we wouldnt break n-gga know we solid #Free650.”

Lucci joins Gunna on the list of famous faces who will not be appearing in court during the high-profile trial.
Thug faces eight charges in the case, including conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and two counts of participation in criminal street gang activity, along with multiple drug and weapons offenses.
