Young Thug is looking to make up for lost time after being released from jail and appears to have something cooking with T.I.
After spending two and a half years behind bars, the Atlanta rapper was freed last week after accepting a plea deal in his YSL RICO case, the longest-running trial in Georgia state history (and surely one of its most turbulent).

Thug, who has just begun serving a lengthy 15-year probation term, seems to be getting right back to business as he reunited with one-time mentor T.I. on Monday night (November 4).
In a video shared on Instagram by the Grand Hustle general, the pair can be seen hanging out together and flashing big smiles to the camera as Thugger teases a comeback.

“Aye, man. What you gotta tell these people?” T.I. asks his “About the Money” collaborator in the clip, to which he replies: “Back, Jack […] No cap in my rap. The right way.”
T.I., who is set to deliver his last-ever performance next month and is currently prepping his 12th and final album, also hinted at new music in the caption.
“Yeahhhhh YKWTFGO. The Kings have Reconvened #KingJeffrey #KingSr Guess I’m officially outta retirement [shrug emoji] For tonight [crying face emoji] #welcomehome,” he wrote.
T.I. isn’t the only rapper Young Thug is reconnecting with since regaining his freedom.
In one of his first social media posts as a free man, the YSL honcho publicly reached out to Lil Baby for a new collaboration.

“Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter,” he wrote, referring to his protégé and frequent collaborator by his nickname.
Blackboard-style billboards have since popped up in Los Angeles and Chicago featuring the words, “Whatever Wham Says Goes,” a nod to a previous tweet from Thug when he was still in jail.
Lil Baby appears to be on board with the idea as he responded by posting a video on his Instagram Stories soundtracked by his and Thug’s 2020 song “We Should.”
The 4PF rapper also gave Thug a warm welcome home, writing in a follow-up post: “I missed you mf!!!! Welcome home my brudda! Thank God you able to get back to your fam in good health and spirits! Wish ya none but billions jack! #whatwhamsaysgoes.”

While a new collaboration between Thug and Baby would be no surprise given their history, it also threatens to muddy the waters when it comes to Thug’s relationship with Gunna.
The “Fukumean” rapper was accused of snitching on his label boss when he pleaded out of the YSL RICO case back in December 2022, with Lil Baby among his most vocal critics.

Although Thug’s long-running silence on the matter fueled speculation that they were no longer cool, his own plea deal produced a surprise twist when he requested permission to contact and work with Gunna as part of his probation.
Of course, it’s possible that this was merely a business move given Thug and Gunna’s contractual relationship through YSL.
