Young Chop was one of a handful of producers who collaborated with Kanye West on his sixth studio album, Yeezus, and according to the Chicago beatsmith, he has more material with ‘Ye on the way.
Young Chop revealed that particular news while speaking with HipHopSince1987.com for their Behind The Beats series. The Windy City musician didn’t share too many details on his recent work with Kanye, but did comment briefly on his past work with the G.O.O.D. Music emcee and being nominated for a Grammy due to his work on Yeezus.
“We going extra harder, man. I got some more shit coming with Kanye too, by the way,” Chop said. “Mothafuckas don’t know. We got some hard ass shit…To be continued, man. We got some crazy shit finna jump off. But, yeah, Grammys that shit felt good though.”
Chop also addressed the criticism Yeezus received immediately following its release. He says there were those who didn’t understand the music, and later commented on the firsthand perspective he received while working on the album.
“He got a big ass mothafuckin—He think a lot. That shit came out dope as fuck though. Niggas don’t understand the music, but I was there when that shit was happening and all that shit was going down,” he said.
Additionally, Young Chop revealed that he’s currently working on Lil Durk’s album, and later recalled executive producing, mixing, and engineering Chief Keef’s debut album, Finally Rich.
“What I’m working on right now, we working on Durk album. Working on his album. That’s what I’m focused on right now…Probably four, three, two, one, whatever,” the producer said when asked how many tracks he’ll have on the album. “Every album that come out from them I’m executive producing. I’m executive producing Keef’s first album, Finally Rich. And I mixed it, engineered it, and all that shit. I do all that shit.”
In regards to his work on Kanye’s most recent album, Young Chop lent his assistance on the Yeezus track, “Guilt Trip.” Chop also produced Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” which led to the creation of a remix featuring ‘Ye, Pusha T, Jadakiss, and Big Sean.

YES! LOL Thank You, I was thinking the same thing
we all on the same page
Not much to misunderstand, it was just boring.
As an accountant for YMCMB, I can personally confirm that all industry insiders fully understood the album, and found it to be pure garbage. Meanwhile, Nothing Was the Same is another classic. Third best album of the 2010’s other than Carter IV and Take Care.
Wrong again, dntalbitch.
No, the best albums of the 2010s are GKMC, MBDTF, and Life Is Good.
niggas sleeping on lil b’s I’m Gay(Im Happy)
This nigga is criminally underrated because he has nothing but garbage spitting on his tracks. Give me them beats nigga.

As a close friend to Young Chop, I can rightfully confirm that Kanye West is garbage! Young Chop ghost-produced MBDTF and Graduate. swag

Dude look like female version of Precious.
please kanye DO NOT work with anymore of these wack trap drill horrible producers
Stop hatin on this young and successful nigga. He looks like a young krs one and that is how you can tell young chop is destined for greatness.
Why, because he has dreadlocks? Young Chop is trash and is destined to be trash, making the same beats over and over again. He is not that successful at all.
I don’t recall a young KRS One looking like a male Precious.
He look like a straight up chimp, be honest witchu
I don’t think Yeezus wasn’t misunderstood, I think it just missed the mark. It was a shock art album that was pretty devoid of substance once you got past all that hard to digest production. I appreciate what he was trying to do as far as shaking things up sonically but the subject matter was a huge step back for Kanye.
Wasn’t misunderstood shit was just wack. Gay niggas make gay music.
Chop is one of the dopest producers in the game right now…Keep bringing that fire!!!
That’s a joke, right?
Chief Keef and Young Chop saved Yeezus-Str8 garbage otherwise
They can’t even save themselves from being trash, how can they save Yeezus?
