YK Osiris hasn’t been in the news for his music a lot lately, but he is ready to put the Sukihana drama behind him as he gears up to release a new song.

On Saturday (June 24), the Florida native posted a clip of himself in the studio with his son. The two can be seen dancing as the 24-year-old raps along to a never-before-heard track playing in the background.

The caption reads: “‘DEAR FANS’ [heart emoji, praying hands emoji]. THANK YALL FOR EVERYTHING. MY TESTIMONY [four praying hands enojis]. WHO READY [fire emoji] LETS GET IT.”

Toward the end, he also tagged producer Sterling Gittens Jr. and artist Will Gittens, who presumably worked on the song with him.

“Dear Fans” will be Osiris’s first release since he came under fire for publicly forcing himself on Sukihana. After the video went viral and he was severely criticized for his actions, the “Worth It” hitmaker issued an apology on social media.

The singer took to his Instagram Story soon after to express his regret. According to him, he wants to focus on his “purpose,” which is making music.

“I apologize to my family and my supporters. I keep letting y’all down. I just want to be a better person and focus on my purpose, and that’s music. I love y’all so much fr,” he wrote. “I lost everything. My mind, my family, my love for music, I just need help fr.”

Although Sukihana has since accepted YK Osiris’ apology, her mother was singing a completely different tune. In an Instagram post around the same time, Lori Lee called him out for his “fake ass apology” and let him know there’d be smoke if they ever run into each other in person.

In his apology, the rapper even hinted that there could be new music on the way, adding that he’s “got a gift” for fans being that he’s “been bullshitting these past years.” As per his most recent Instagram post, it seems like he will be following through on the promise.
