YG’s single “Meet the Flockers” has been a cause of controversy since its inclusion on his debut album, My Krazy Life.
Now, three suspected burglars in Los Angeles have named the Compton rapper’s song as reason for breaking into homes, TMZ reports.
The group was taken into LAPD custody last week and cited “Meet the Flockers” as its blueprint for the crimes. The song gives a step by step account of how to burglarize a home.
“First, you find a house and scope it out/Find a Chinese neighborhood ’cause they don’t believe in bank accounts/Second, find a crew and a driver/Someone to ring the doorbell, and someone that ain’t scared to do what it do/Third, pull up at the spot, park and watch/Ring the doorbell and knock/Four, make sure nobody’s home, they’re gone, ok, it’s on,” YG raps on the track.

So far, no word from YG in response to the report, but the police are upset, saying the song is irresponsible.
“Meet The Flockers” was the subject of a petition started by the Chinese American community asking the government to take action against the 4Hunnid leader. The petition reached 100,000 signatures in October, which met the criteria for the White House to review.
