Former Fugees member Wyclef Jean confirmed reports of hospitalization yesterday. The veteran producer/emcee/singer was said to have checked into an undisclosed New Jersey hospital for “stress and fatigue,” said the Haitian website AFaceAFace.com. Jean later used to his Twitter account to re-tweet the report to validate.
Reports suggest that Jean checked himself in.

This announcement comes after the Hip Hop artist had attempted to run for President of Haiti, before he was determined ineligible by election officials. Sources told Billboard.com that Jean had been suffering from headaches for weeks, while traveling to Europe and Asia regularly.
After political plans changed, Jean is said to be working on a follow-up to last year’s DJ Drama co-hosted Toussaint St. Jean: From The Hut, To The Projects, To The Mansion.
UPDATE: Wycef Jean is back at his home, says XXLMag.com. The website got further information from Jean’s brother Samuel. It has been reported elsewhere that physicians ordered Jean to rest.
