Wiz Khalifa has been going hard for the holidays, and just ahead of New Year’s Eve, he’s promised he’s “Never Drinking Again” on a new track.

The cover art features a slumped Wiz surrounded by a Christmas tree and all things holiday-related, while the track has a more melodic feel.

“Just in time for New Years Never Drinking Again,” he wrote in an Instagram post promoting the record. “Enjoy your festivities drink responsibly and tag me when you use this sound in your video the day after #neverdrinkingagain”

Wiz has been putting out music at a high clip in 2022. His latest track arrives just days after the Taylor Gang rapper previewed a collab with Harlem native Neek Bucks, and punctuates a year that included his seventh studio album Multiverse as well as two collaborative projects – Full Court Press with Big K.R.I.T. and Girl Talk and Stoner’s Night with Juicy J.

In a Shade 45 interview with DJ Superstar Jay earlier this month, Wiz named the legendary Lil Wayne as his ideal Verzuz opponent – though his reasons were based more on the performance than the hit-for-hit competition aspect.

“I think that would be fun, yeah. Because Wayne is a really dope performer,” Wiz said. “Me and him going back and forth performing bangers? That shit’d be hard! And we’d both smoke hella weed. I think that would be more of a concert than a Verzuz.”

Outside of music, Wiz will make his return to the silver screen for the first time in over a decade when Spinning Gold arrives in theaters in March. The film documents the rise of Casablanca Records in the 1970s – which was home to Parliament-Funkadelic, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight, the Isley Brothers and more.

Khalifa will play Parliament’s George Clinton, and a preview of his portrayal was released in a trailer just before the Christmas holiday.
