Westside Gunn and Benny The Butcher have expressed their sympathy and support for Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin, who remains in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The incident occurred during the Bills’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night (January 2) when the latter team’s wide receiver Tee Higgins was tackled by Hamlin.

Hamlin stood up and took a few steps forward before going limp and falling backwards to the ground. The ESPN broadcast claimed CPR was administered for several minutes before Hamlin was transported to a local Cincinnati hospital via ambulance. The game was postponed until a later date.

“Prayers for Hamlin,” Westside Gunn wrote on Twitter alongside a prayer emoji. Benny echoed this sentiment as well and wrote: “Prayers for D. Ham.”

Griselda’s show of solidarity comes as Hamlin remains in critical condition. In lighter news, a GoFundMe charity started by the 24-year-old in 2020 has seen an immense outpouring of donations overnight, raising more than $3.9 million.

The charity was created to help support Hamlin’s mother’s day care business in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and had an initial goal of $4,000. WWE wrestler Chris Jericho surpassed that goal via his donation alone, generously handing over $10,000 to “The Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive.”

This is far from the first time Griselda has stood in solidarity with their collective hometown of Buffalo, New York. Following a mass shooting that took place at a Tops supermarket back in May, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher and Conway The Machine all showed support for Buffalo on social media, with Benny going so far as to create a poster showcasing the names and photos of all the victims who lost their lives in the attack.

“Stop taking this opportunity to antagonize the people that’s hear that’s doing better than you,” Benny added in a video on Instagram. “First and foremost, like I say, I’m gonna do anything that my community needs me to do — I already been doing it. But guess what? It’s not to get y’all approval. Fuck y’all!”

The trio has additionally shown some serious love to their hometown NFL team over the years. In 2021, Conway The Machine took to Twitter to celebrate the Buffalo Bills’ first trip to the AFC Championships since 1993, which came after the franchise defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-3.

“Hey ma, hey ma, talk your shit again,” Conway said in a hyped-up video as he brought his mom closer to the camera. “Say that shit again! We’ll see y’all at the muthafuckin’ next game … that’s a wrap muthafucka. Mama Machine even got bars, ya bitch! AFC Champions. Buffalo fuckin’ Bills. I’m calling it right now!”

Benny echoed his cousin’s sentiment on Twitter. “This some funny shit tho,” he wrote alongside a video of some Bills fans throwing their baby into a cake. “#BillsMafia.”
