Tyler, The Creator has gone viral for hitting a quick disappearing act while dressed as Batman for his 32nd birthday.

The video was shared by Tyler’s close friend Jasper Dolphin, which was shot across the street as Tyler goes into a convenience store to get a popsicle while donning Batman’s signature cowls.

When Tyler emerges, he notices he’s being filmed and somehow disappears from view as a truck drives through the frame.

“What the fuck?” Jasper can be heard saying after the rapper’s Houdini-esque stunt.

This isn’t the first time Tyler, The Creator has channeled Bruce Wayne’s superhero alter-ego. The former Odd Future leader dropped off a freestyle in 2017 called “Batman,” which was produced by Madlib. The song appeared online via a crate-digging Reddit user, but has never gotten an official release.

Tyler’s latest fit also comes a few days after Danny Brown said all of New York City’s up-and-coming drill rappers “sound like Batman” in their music.

“Why all these n-ggas sound like Batman?” Brown said on a recent episode of his podcast. “All these n-ggas rap like Batman Beyond! What the fuck is wrong with y’all n-ggas, man? That shit ain’t fire! … You know they all wanna be like a demon. N-gga, you 16; your balls ain’t even dropped yet. You ain’t even got a deep voice yet. These n-ggas rapping like villains.”

He continued: “All you New York drill n-ggas rapping like Batman Begins, man. That shit is over with, man. Pop Smoke, that was his natural voice, man. But all y’all 16 … n-gga if you don’t shut the fuck up, man. Shouts out to real New York rappers like MIKE, you know what I’m saying?”

In other Tyler, The Creator news, the Call Me If You Get Lost rapper recently shouted out Pharrell in the forthcoming Hulu docuseries Rap Caviar Presents, and credited the Neptunes hitmaker for being a father figure to him growing up.

Tyler also shared some words of wisdom he received from Pharrell that he said changed the trajectory of his life.

“Make something undeniable and make it equally as infectious,” the legendary producer told him. “Why are you doing music? Is it just because you just want to look cool? ‘Cause that will burn out. When it becomes purpose-oriented, it can be as cool as the flashy shit but it will be much more meaningful.”

“Oh fuck,” Tyler said of his thoughts after Pharrell’s words. “Okay, no more being silly. Music first. And at that moment, we went home. I just wanted to change everything. I just wanted to switch. And the switch fucking happened.”
