Tyler, The Creator has gotted into an unlikely back-and-forth with Digital Nas after he slandered his upcoming album Chromakopia.
Shortly after Tyler announced the project on Thursday (October 17), Nas — a producer and rapper who is best known for his work with Kanye West, Playboi Carti and Lil Yachty — attempted to rain on his parade.

Underneath Tyler’s Instagram post, he wrote: “Omg here we go again the same album made all over again with these gay ass Tyler the Creator chords and weak ass Pharrell drums.”
Nas also trashed the album on his Instagram Stories, saying: “Not buying it. It’s time for sum new. Let me fucking in!”

The harsh comments did not go unnoticed by Tyler, who sent a private message to the Donda beatmaker (that was later shared online), sarcastically responding: “I FEEL YOU THIS TYLER GUY IS A FAGGOT BRO DONT BUY IT [zombie emoji].”
Nas replied in the DM conversation by sending the Odd Future founder a link to his latest single “LO’S V4” and writing: “When u can make something this level we can talk.”

Digital Nas was in the minority as Tyler, The Creator’s album announcement otherwise sparked a frenzy among fans and fellow artists alike, including Swizz Beatz who stamped it an automatic “classic.”
Chromakopia is set to be released on October 28 (which, interestingly, is a Monday, not the usual industry release day of Friday), serving as Tyler’s eighth album and first since 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost.

The Grammy-winner also unveiled the cover art, which is a sepia-tinged photo depicting Tyler wearing a black mask and military suit.
Underneath the horned album title it says: “All songs written, produced and arranged by Tyler Okonma,” referring to his real name.
The same line of text appeared on the artwork for his 2019 album IGOR, which also saw Tyler adopt a distinct look comprised of a blond wig, sunglasses and smart attire.
Fans have already been treated to one single (or at least a minute-and-a-half-long snippet of it), with the Daniel Caesar-assisted “St. Chroma” arriving earlier this week.

Chromakopia will arrive just in time for Tyler, The Creator’s 2024 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, which takes place on November 16 and 17 at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium.
A lineup for the festival has yet to be announced, but attendees will most likely get to see Tyler perform his new album for the first time.
