Ty Dolla $ign is approaching the 10-year anniversary of Beach House 2, his critically-acclaimed mixtape that put him on the map – and he’s never even listened to it.

The Los Angeles native stopped by Apple Music 1 to promote his new song “Motion” on Thursday (June 1). When the convo turned to BH2‘s forthcoming birthday, Ty admitted he’s never pushed play on it since releasing the project in July 2013.

“I haven’t listened to Beach House 2,” Ty admitted. “I’m not going to lie. Nah, but it’s been huge. Definitely a celebration and shout out to everybody that was with me then, the ones that are still with me now from that team and all the new people I’ve met that have just been here for this journey.

“And it’s still going! We’re still going. It was more so back then, that trying to get people to hear it or just to be noticed, knowing you make good music and all your homies around you are telling you, ‘This is crazy.'”

He continued: “But then to get the people to feel it, that was also the time of just meeting my first publicist, my first managers, my first everything and just seeing how the game works. And now I’m more seasoned and I kind of know what to do once I get a record.”

Hosted by DJ Drama, Beach House 2 arrived on July 1, 2013. The 13 tracks are jam-packed with stars among the likes of Mustard, YG, Wiz Khalifa, Kirko Bangz, Juicy J, Jeezy, B.o.B., Chris Brown, Kid Ink, The Game and more. It also features “Paranoid” – then with a verse from Joe Moses – which would go on to be Ty Dolla $ign’s breakout hit.

Elsewhere in the new interview, the “Or Nah” singer revealed he has multiple projects locked and loaded and he’s about to dropping a ton of new music.

“I got an EP ready, I got a mixtape ready, I got an album ready, I got another type of genre album ready,” he revealed. “I’m ready, so now it’s about spacing it out and properly timing everything the right way. I’ll be dropping hella new music and I’m excited for it.”
