R. Kelly apparently made a rash decision on Tuesday (September 12) when posting one of his latest tweets and naturally, Twitter quickly took notice.
Kelly has been drowning in controversy (once again) since BuzzFeed published an article that alleged he was running a sex cult with women held against their will, something he adamantly denied.
In an attempt to promote new music, the controversial R&B singer evidently thought it was a good idea to write, “All it takes is one ‘yes’ to change your life. #WaitOnIt #MorningsWithKellz #RKelly,” and accompanied it with a photo of multiple “Nos” in red and one “Yes” in white.
The “Bump N Grind” singer has since deleted the post.
Countless Twitter users chimed in on Kelly’s obvious backpedaling and many seemed to rejoice that it was removed. Others simply couldn’t believe he did it in the first place.
Kelly has a long history of alleged sexual misconduct. Most notably, he was accused of urinating on an underage girl in 2002, and illegally married the late singer Aaliyah in 1994 when she was just 15-year-old and he was 27.
Check out the various Twitter reactions to Kelly’s latest scandal below.
I don’t get it
It’s okay. You will once you come of age.
Shouldn’t R. Kelly be too busy peeing on his slaves to be on Twitter?
The tweet really isn’t that bad tbh.
Powers that be are ready to move on from R Kelly it appears they are ready to shelve him despite all his talent he cant get out of his own way to save his life !
Why is it that every news article on HipHopDX has to be about Twitter? This site is a joke.
MSM does it too. They’ll post an article, and then put twitter posts up that support the narrative of the article. This is done to show that the narrative has popular “on the ground” support. It’s used as a way to corral the herd.
The pedo loser who loves little girls done shot himself in the foot. #KILLALLPEDOS
Something out of nothing. There should be standards on quoting tweets and random people’s replies as if they are news
