Twisted Black is fresh out of prison and back on the scene with a new song in which he calls out 6ix9ine and Rick Ross to illustrate his disdain for snitches and law enforcement.
On Sunday (July 23), the Texas rapper dropped a new single titled “17.2 Freestyle (First Day Out).” On the track, the 46-year-old name-drops several Hip Hop figures, though not all of them in a positive light.

“I’m back, it’s Twisted Black, this is not Tekashi or Ricky Ross/ I really came up from out the mud, these n-ggas been out here tickin’ y’all,” he raps, making it clear how he feels about those who have worked with the police.
But then he shouts-out a few names he’s down with: “But hol’ up, shout out to Gotti, shout out to Gucci, Boosie, Jeezy, Finesse/ few of them know know the struggle for real, I’m boutta shoot at the rest.”
Toward the end of the music video, Twisted Black reveals that he has a new project on the way, arriving on August 16.
Black was arrested by the DEA in Midland, Texas in July 2006 just as his rap career was taking off, having just signed a deal with TVT Records. The following February, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.
Serving 13 of the 30 years after being granted a re-sentencing in 2008, he was released earlier this month on July 13.
Bun B was among those rejoicing upon finding out that his fellow Texas rapper was let out after a 16-year bid. Under an Instagram video of his return, the UGK rapper commented to give him a warm welcome home.
“Welcome home a real one,” the Trill OG wrote, while fellow Texas legend DJ Michael Watts also celebrated the return, posting a photo of Twisted Black on Instagram.
