Tupac’s Death Orchestrated By Head Of Death Row Security & Others, According To Former Detective

In a news piece titled “A Former LAPD Detective Thinks He Knows Who Killed Tupac,” Vice writer Jeff Weiss listed seven theories surrounding the death of the late Tupac Shakur. Among the theories detailed are ones that pin Puff Daddy as the killer, and even the FBI.

The last theory, titled “The Russell Poole Theory” is “the one you should be particularly interested in,” writes Weiss.

That particular theory involves former LAPD detective Russell Poole, the man responsible for shining the light on police misconduct in the city.

According to Poole, thanks to a jail informant named Malcolm Patton he was able to get his hands on a clue the Las Vegas Police Department received in 1998, but ultimately wrote off.

In the clue, a letter which was dictated to Patton’s sister, the informant states that he and his two brothers put a hit on Tupac and Suge Knight after receiving his whereabouts from Reggie Wright, Jr., former head of Death Row security.

“He wasn’t really sitting on the clue. [Blatchford] had given it to the Las Vegas Police Department in 1998, but they basically shined him off,” Russell Poole said while speaking to Vice.

Vice reports that Poole believes Wright Jr. and Suge Knight’s ex, Sharitha Knight orchestrated the murder to assume control of Death Row Records.

“Suge wasn’t divorced yet and if he died in that hit, she’d get most of everything,” Poole said. “So she went to Wright Jr., who was in charge of Death Row and ran it while Suge was in prison. [Wright Jr.] has gotten away with it this whole time. They floated a whole lot of propaganda to former LA Times reporter Chuck Phillips—calling in hundreds if not thousands of fake clues.”

Poole also theorized that another one of the shooters was Lil ½ Dead, a rapper and Death Row affiliate. Lil ½ Dead is alleged to have sent Tupac a demo that included “Brenda’s Got A Baby.”

Lil ½ Dead declined to speak with Vice, and the legitimacy of the letter from Patton has yet to be verified.

    1. don’t believe it, why would you want to take over death row without Tupac makes no since suge is locked up and people think he had something to do with pac murder . so he is behind this non believable story . and they didn’t put much effort in killings suge about 6″5 300 POUNDS in driver seat.

    2. IDK if this Pig is speaking the truth, even if he exposes other police officers that abuse there authority.. But him mentioning Lil 1/2 Dead was involved in murdering Pac is shocking, knowing that’s Snoop Dogg’s homie. Snoop gotta respond to these allegations.. I thought it was some Crip niggas that killed him, because of that scuffle they had with Orlando Anderson which was a Crip.

      1. Your initial thought was correct. Lil 1/2 Dead not only wrote Brenda’s Got a Baby, he murdered Tupac over it? GTFOH.

    3. This theory is completely ridiculous. Ask Brenda’s Got a Baby’s producer, Deon Evans, whether Tupac wrote Brenda’s Got a Baby or stole a demo from Lil Half Dead. The confession letter is bullshit. Very few Tupac fans take this theory seriously.

      1. Do you know for a fact that hes alive and do you have exact proof that he alive i hope he is hes hesmy favorite singer

    4. The drive-by shooter that killed 2Pac in September of 1996 was South Side Crip affiliate, Baby Lane (Orlando Anderson) in retaliation to getting stomped out in a Vegas hotel lobby. So you can forget about all the other bullshit theories floating around.

      1. It’s not about bringing him back but letting the truth be known. He was about being real and that’s what he would of wanted. That’s why i find it hard to believe he stole a song. Specially from someone who isn’t anywhere near as talented as him but who knows no one’s perfect.

      2. It’s not about bringing him back but letting the truth be known. He was about being real and that’s what he would of wanted. That’s why i find it hard to believe he stole a song. Specially from someone who isn’t anywhere near as talented as him but who knows no one’s perfect.

    5. Say word white man!!! I call b.s. phuck half dead 2..if it’s true.. that’s snoops home boi.. fuck em all if it’s true.. not snoop & the pound tho they legit. .R.I.P #2pac# goat

    6. RUSSEL POOLE GIVE IT A REST BUDDY YOUR STORIES HAVE CHANGED SO MANY TIMES I CANT EVEN KEEP UP YOUR JUST A ATTENTION SEEKER LOOKING TO MAKE MONEY OFF TUPACS NAME

    7. If thinks he right. Lil Half Dead was one of the killers. The Brenda’s Got A Baby is just a story that was made up to contract the other 2 killers. I assume Lil Half Dead was the one who contracted them and made that story up so the real killers wouldn’t get caught if arrested by police (no snitching possible). The real killers must be nervous now though because they getting close to who gave the green light. I know now who did it, my gutfeeling says it and if have read all theories since Pac died, probably if you think and watch events which happened a week before the shooting (incl. tracklisting Makaveli, watch the collabo’s, or better, who’s not collaborating) will know too. Especially with the Half Dead thing in mind.

    8. its all types of theories thrown out there we will never know no matter how many more years go by and they come up with some other shit for all we kno the person who killed pac could be dead himself so plz stop wit the bs stories

    9. To me Reggie Wright is comin off as suspect & I dont know about the rest, but the whole Lil Half Dead story just reeks of bullshit!

    10. Reggie wright plotted the whole thing in my eyes and the sad part is people don’t even question him or think of him as a suspect in this

    11. Frank Alexander and others have said it in several interviews that Pac would not have liked the hologram concert that Snoop and Dr. Dre did because up until his death, he wasn’t cool with either guy.

People saying why would they want Death Row without Tupac? I just read where the eventual Catalog of Death Rows music and business was eventually sold for $175 million pounds ($270 million dollars in US). Suge Knight owned the rights to many of his artists music including Dr. Dre who just won a judgement to keep his digital sales but he still doesnt’ get any physical cd sales (which in todays world isn’t much).

Russell Poole hated the LA PD corruption and he was a very well respected and decorated cop who gave up his career for his ideals and I trust him. Problem with a great conspiracy? impossible to prove.

    12. How about Lil 1/2 Dead’s album cover with Pac’s shot up head leaning over a console… another face coming out of his head which appears to be Kadafi and Biggie on there as well. How about that? Why would he have all these ppl on the cover and portray them in such a disrespectful way?

      1. Tupac 187 book talks about that and more. Reggie made sure the two securities that were loyal to Tupac were disarmed. As head of security, it does not make sense that the label’s number 1 start gets in a fight and then you have all security disarmed. Why hasn’t snoop spoke on his blood cousin little half dead’ album cover.
