Travis Scott, Wale & Chris Brown Up For International Artist Of The Year At Headies Awards

Travis Scott, Wale and Chris Brown are some of the high-profile musicians whose collaborations with African artists have gottenb them nominations for International Artist of the Year at this year’s Headies Awards.

The Headies (originally called the Hip Hop World Awards) was created in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. Nominations for this year’s awards were announced on Wednesday (February 26).

Wale received his nom for his appearance on ODUMODUBLVCK’s “Blood on the Dance Floor,” Scott for Asake’s “Active,” and Chris Brown for his Davido-featuring song “Hmmm.” Other nominees for International Artist of the Year are Chlöe Bailey (for “Vision Remix” with Qing Madi) and Skepta (for “Tony Montana” with Portable).

The Headies Awards Show will take place on April 5.
