Travis Scott and John McEnroe have continued beefing, and now Cactus Jack has made it personal.
Taking to his Instagram stories on Tuesday (December 12), the “SICKO MODE” rapper can be seen glancing around before he takes a can of orange spray paint and defaces a plaque honoring McEnroe. Scott appears to be painting a smiley face on McEnroe’s commemorative plaque, though it’s not clear whether the paint is washable or whether the plaque can be restored to its former glory in the future.

The beef stemmed from a video — which went viral on Saturday (December 10) — in which the rapper can be seen in a Zoom meeting with McEnroe and Nike executives, discussing a potential shoe collaboration between the rapper and the tennis titan, since McEnroe’s “Mac Attack” sneakers were reissued earlier this year.
In the clip, McEnroe voices his disapproval of Scott’s suggestion to name the Scott-branded Mac Attacks “Cactus Jack,” and instead demands the line be called “Cactus Mac.” “God damn it, Travis. Jenny is right, okay, let’s have a little bit of compromise,” said McEnroe.

Despite La Flame’s attempt to explain that “Cactus Mac was never a thing,” McEnroe wasn’t willing to budge and took the feedback as a slap in the face, exclaiming: “Come on, man! Show some respect! This is my shoe!”
The plaque spray-painting appeared to be in response to McEnroe’s actions after the events of the Zoom call. The tennis legend was caught on video defacing a pair of Mac Attack kicks, writing “Mac” over Travis’ Cactus Jack logo on the heel of the shoe.
McEnroe was also wearing a T-shirt which had “Cactus Mac” written on it in the style of Scott’s Cactus Jack logo — a nod to their argument over the name.
In the video, McEnroe addresses Scott directly, saying: “I was wearing these things in the ’80s before this guy was born. Now, all of a sudden Travis Scott’s got this thing, Cactus Jack, so I just made it Cactus Mac.
“I mean, come on. A bit of respect — that’s all I’m asking for.”

Some observers have speculated that the entire thing is a marketing ploy, especially since images have come out of an actual Cactus Jack x Nike Attack collaboration. It is rumored to be releasing later this month.
Scott and McEnroe previously joined forces this past summer for an ad for the Mac Attack.
