Tory Lanez & DaBaby Allegedly Tried To Ambush Megan Thee Stallion Show After Shooting

Tory Lanez and DaBaby allegedly tried to ambush Megan Thee Stallion during her 2021 Rolling Loud performance, according to newly unearthed court documents.

Megan Cuniff, who has been regularly covering Lanez’s trial since its inception, released the 12-page sentencing memorandum from the prosecutors, who were acting on behalf of the State of California. The sentencing memorandum, which was filed on Tuesday (June 6), revealed that the sinister plot unfolded on July 25, 2021.

“During the victim’s performance, the defendant went through security clearance and entered the green room,” the memorandum read. “These areas were within 100 yards of the stage where the victim was performing, in violation of the protective order.”

It continued: “It was also brought to the victim’s attention that the defendant and DaBaby attempted to rush the stage during her performance. In no way was the victim previously aware of nor did she consent to the defendant’s presence at the venue when she would be performing.”

Prosecutors are also claiming that this attempted ambush — which resulted in the Hon. Keith Borjon finding Tory Lanez guilty of violating the protective order on August 23, 2021, and Lanez’s bail being increased — was further proof that the disgraced rapper was trying to “retraumatize” Megan Thee Stallion. For this reason, the prosecution is requesting an aggregate prison sentence of 13 years.

“The People strongly believe that the dismissal of either enhancements alleged would endanger public safety and would not be in the interest of justice,” concluded the memorandum. “The defendant has waged a campaign to humiliate and retraumatize the victim through his actions and his words.”

With the recent denial of Lanez’s request to disqualify the sentencing judge, all of his options for freedom have been exhausted.

And now, the Canadian rapper (real name Daystar Peterson) is set to be sentenced on June 13, with Judge David Herriford — who had been previously accused by Tory Lanez of showing favoritism to the prosecution — presiding.

Herriford presided over Tory’s two-week trial in December, which culminated in him being found guilty on three felony counts over the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Herriford also rejected the rapper’s motion for a new trial in May.

In their appellate petition, which was filed shortly after their new trial motion was dismissed, Tory’s lawyers Matthew Barhoma and Jose Baez cited three examples of Herriford’s “partiality” during the two-day hearing last month.

They claimed the judge directed them to present their arguments in the order he wanted instead of the order they wanted; didn’t allow them to call witnesses for live testimony; and interrupted them and cut them off when they were arguing.

“Conversely, the judge gave the People a full and fair opportunity to present argument uninterrupted, even when the case cited by the People did not stand for the proposition that they advanced,” the defense attorneys wrote.

    1. I hope he doesn’t get 13 years but hopefully he has grow up I think the whole thing was just immaturity on them all.

      1. immaturity from shooting someone. not only someone, a famous person, who, apparently you were cool with. right man.

      2. I love when people throw her in there like she’s to blame for somebody escalating an argument to grabbing the strap and starting to shoot. No, he’s the only person to blame for this. By this logic, if she said your mama, he was justified.

      3. God’s gift and they want to run around like gangsters, I feel no sympathy for Tory nor DaBaby pulling a gun on a female that you know you can beat and then the 2 fools tried to ruin her concert they both need matching jumpsuits and side by side doors so they can hear each other screaming at night. Give Tory 13 and DaBaby 5 year’s no easy release. Making that much money just to throw it away Dumb 🤡

    2. When keeping it real goes wrong. You want to be a cosplay American rapper? Welcome. Here’s part of the bit. Prison time.

    3. Worst cqreer moves of all time. Lanez going to prison for years when he could have already been out had he taken a plea (and mind you, most of this time was still during the pandemic when shit was shut down, so entertainers were making no show money from venues), and Da Baby aligned himself with the losing side when he had a pretty strong history with the victim in the case. Not only that, but she had let him fuck too, lol. Oh boy.

      1. If he had taken the plea deal he would’ve immediately been deported after doing his time and banned from re-entering the US for 10 years. He didn’t want the risk to his career and
greatly overestimated his chances of beating the case. That was his critical mistake.

      2. As for the DaBaby, he is just a clown period lol. He’s consistently shown that he’s incapable of making smart choices.

      3. And. Ten plus years in prison or trying to stay in the country by getting off for some shit you know you did. That’s a hard choice for a dumbass. Being deported doesn’t mean you can never come back to America either. Just means you have a 5 to 10-year bar. Meanwhile, he is going to prison for 13 plus years instead. Again, dumbass decision of the century.

    4. Haha at all the horse ppl mad at my comment. Well if her grown azz wasn’t fighting her supposed friend in 1 of the richest neighborhoods in America we probably wouldn’t be here. She was fighting and acting a fool that night too. She didn’t deserve to be shot but there was a lot of liquor and immaturity going on that night. I stand on what I said not her fault about being shot but she wasn’t completely innocent that night they were all being foolish.
