Tony Yayo Recalls 50 Cent ‘Beating Up’ Ja Rule & Snatching His Chain: ‘Fif K.O.’d [Him]’

Tony Yayo has shared his perspective on the time 50 Cent and Ja Rule got physical at the height of their feud.

While the incident is confirmed to have taken place, exactly what went down has been contested, with Ja previously claiming he got the better of 50.

    Yayo, however, sees it differently.

Appearing on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, he said: “50 beat Ja Rule up in Atlanta […] Fif K.O.’d that n-gga […] We at the same hotel. I was in the building. N-ggas tried to front on 50.

“Bow! 50 caught him stone cold. He a southpaw — that’s how 50 always knocked out n-ggas in the hood ’cause he’s left-handed.”

The G-Unit rapper continued: “Ja Rule [yells out], ‘Murda!’ That n-gga’s eye [swells up]. So we get in the elevator and that’s when 50 shows us the chain that’s in ‘Wanksta.’ He goes, ‘Look what I got.’ So he snuffed him and yanked him.”

The fight is believed to have taken place in 2000, with Ja Rule giving his version of events in his autobiography, Unruly.

He wrote: “50 tried to swing on me, but I dipped, then I hit him with the baby Louisville Slugger. Bam! I dropped the bat. I pulled the shirt over his head. I started catching him left, right, uppercut.

“I hit him with the crutch. We proceeded to whip his ass. I was putting in my work. 50 was crunched in the corner. I slammed the big tannoy speaker down on him.”

Last year, Ja Rule revisited the event during an interview with Piers Morgan.

Morgan asked the former Murder Inc. rapper who would win in a fight between him and 50, to which he replied: “That’s happened already too, Piers. You gotta do your research.”

Asked who came out on top, Ja answered: “I did, Piers.”

The incident was also detailed by Chris Gotti, co-founder of Murder Inc. Records, who said in 2016: “We see him in Atlanta…Ja and 50 walk off, talking. Rule got that big voice. You hear him: ‘I don’t know you. Why are you making these records?’

“50 snuffed him…You wanna hear the real story? Ja took the snuff. Takes him. Has his shirt over his head. Hitting him right back. Gets out of his shirt and he starts running…Gets away. That’s what happened that day.”

50 himself has never commented on the claims that he lost a fight to Ja Rule.

    1. When one guy who is built like a tank says he gave a quick sucker punch I believe that over the smaller guy describing a brawl that happens during a WWE contract signing segment on Smackdown.

    2. Usually I think Ja wack, but I don’t believe this story. With the back and forth and tea spilt between both camps, why is this narrative changing now? lol.

    3. Let’s Yayo is lying and changing the narrative here. Ja Rule is still a pussy for using a baseball bat in a fist fight and being backed up by the Murder Inc crew while fighting Fifty. Cause if this was a fair one on one situation, Fifty is definitely stomping this dwarf “having a threesome with Diddy” motherfucker.

    4. People telling stories like this 20 years later is ridiculous.. none of them are going to be completely accurate. Unfortunately the mind doesn’t hold up that well with incidences like these. Move on.

    5. Ja Rule is one of those little golden gloves dudes that will whoop your ass on sight while muscle bound guys like 50 cent usually get hit and dropped because they have a weak chin. Clowns on here don’t know a thing about it. Ja Rule will whip your ass even today

      1. Not sure what you are talking about. Ja Rule can fight and will whip your ass.🥊 Everybody in NYC knows that, it’s common knowledge. Everybody wasn’t a worthless homo back then. Nobody faked Murder Inc.🎤 You are confusing 30 years ago with today.

    6. 50 himself said Ja Rule ate the punch and fought back in XXL, his own book, and DVD interviews. Not like Ja was trying to look tough anyways, he admitted he had a baseball bat and his boys helped him jump 50.
