Timbaland plans to release his second solo album, Shock
Value, on March 27, 2007. The album is said to feature the likes of Jay-Z,
Nelly Furtado, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake and Ludacris.
“My mission is to blow up the boundaries and tear down
the limits. I’m taking my music outside of the box. I’m not getting away
from what I’m known for; I’m just going to a place where it’s all about the
music, not about the labels on the music. That’s why I call it Shock
Value — from the artists to the production, it will shock the system,”
states Timbaland.
The album’s first single, “Give It To Me”
featuring Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado will hit airwaves Feb. 1.
In addition to the Shock Value release, Timbaland is
also a guest performer on Justin Timberlake‘s FutureSex/LoveShow World
Tour which began in January and will run through March.
