It
seems that when Nas made the track “Where Are They Now” for his album Hip
Hop Is Dead, he was intent on answering the question himself – via the
remix. The Queensbridge rapper will have several rappers from the 90s featured
on the song: Readhead Kingpin, Monie Love, Father MX, Chip-Fu of the
Fu-Schnickens, Dres of Black Sheep, Lords of the Underground, E-S-T, Mike
Gee,Original Spinderella, and Rob Base.
The
song will feature the beat to “Where Are They Now” mixed with 90s hits such as
“It Takes Two,” “The Choice is Yours,” and many more.
The
Game (born Jayceon Taylor) plead “not guilty” yesterday to charges of
impersonating a police officer in New
York. The rapper was arrested on November 16th after
allegedly hailing a cab while pretending to be an officer, urging the driver to
run several red lights.
Game’s
lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, denies the charges. “The police are harassing
him,” Lichtman said to sohh. “They don’t even have a witness – no supporting
deposition. It will be a slam-dunk acquittal or dismissal; it’s up to the
D.A.” According to Game, the whole fiasco is “a ploy by the hip-hop police
to humiliate” him.
The
parents of Awatef Aboudihaj, the woman who died in a freeway car accident
involving R&B singer and actress Brandy, are suing her for $50 million. The
wrongful-death suit, filed on behalf of Aboudihaj Ahmed and Labridi Zohra,
states that Brandy was being reckless when her Land Rover struck Aboudihaj’s
Honda.
“The
accident was a terrible tragedy, and Brandy’s heart goes out to Awatef
Aboudihaj’s family,” said spokesman Allan Mayer according to aol.com. “But for legal
reasons we cannot comment on this lawsuit.”
