TI, Jeezy Prep Tour, New Projects

Atlanta rap stars Young Jeezy and T.I. are ready to work together. The pair will launch the Georgia Power Tour. Dates are unknown as of press time but will soon be released to the public.

For the emcees, the union was destined to happen. T.I. even states he saw it coming.

“If you notice, back when I first got out of jail, I was telling people he was the next n—a,” T.I. said of Jeezy. “I seen the similarities in the movements in comparison to what I’d done. I felt he had a style all his own — a certain quality that’s hard to come by,” he adds.

Young Jeezy feels the same about ,b>T.I. and says that when you listen to them, you hear about “what’s going on in Atlanta right now.”

The ATL emcees still have other things to tend to in the midst of the upcoming tour. Young Jeezy still has to release singles to support his platinum debut album Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The rapper claims he’s had a hard time picking singles.

“I had to sit down and tell [Def Jam] we have to shoot five videos for this album. Ain’t no way around it. We’d be crazy to let anything go. They’re going for ‘My Hood.’ Jay-Z hit me up, and said he likes ‘My Hood.’ I like ‘Trap Star’ myself. We was even thinking about doing [a video for] ‘Go Crazy.’ You never know,” he said.

T.I. isn’t looking for new singles but he’s working on several new projects himself. He’s begun work on his next album, tentatively titled The King,. He and his label Grand Hustle label mates will also play a large part in the soundtrack to Cascade, which TIP will also star in.

Cascade will be T.I.’s debut in film and will allow him to flex his acting and his music muscles at the same time.
