The Notorious B.I.G. Documentary Confirmed

As the world waits for the new Tupac Shakur biopic to drop, there’s even more good news on the Hip Hop film front.

Tupac’s long-term rival The Notorious B.I.G. will be getting a documentary of his own. Submarine Entertainment and ByStorm Film made the announcement on Monday at the Berlin Film Festival, according to Variety.

The movie is tentatively titled “Notorious B.I.G.: One More Chance” and will specifically focus on the legacy of Biggie’s music around the world.

The movie has the blessing of Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, who is collaborating with the Malloy brothers in its production. The Malloys have a long history in music video production and have been behind visuals for Jack Johnson, Foo Fighters, Avril Levine, Metallica, N*E*R*D and The Black Eyed Peas, among many others.

“It brings so much joy to my heart that my son Christopher’s music has made such an impact on the music community and his stories have positively inspired so many young men and women over the years, and still influencing the youth all over the world today,” Voletta said of the project, according to Variety.

No expected release date has been set for the project.

    1. I liked Biggie as an artist, but fuck continuously telling this dude’s story if they are not going to tell the real. Are they going to be real and explain how “Long Kiss Goodnight” was a dis song to 2Pac AFTER he died, when the dude wouldn’t say a word back when he was alive? Like Lil’ Cease explained it in XXL? How the hell people overlook that and how cowardly and bogus that was? And then talking about “I ain’t mad at ya” with Puffy coming behind saying “We ain’t mad at ya” and people still act like they don’t know that’s what the song was about. If they gon tell the story, tell the story. I’m tired of them portraying them as angels and Death Row as devils like they did in his movie. Just be real or be quiet about his “legacy.”

    2. Can we also expect another Biggie album with recycled verses and features from wack rappers like: 2chainz, drake, lil wayne, big sean, 50 cent, lil wack and young dumb.

      Another letdown for Biggie fans

    3. I love BIG… but Faith and everyone in between in cash cowing BIG. No more old verses and stories we already know about. Big did two CD’s/LP’s and some good features in between. 1992-1997. He did some marvelous things, but recycling two albums and old interviews only taints his legacy. His catalog needed to be a little longer to pull more from. Not a hater, just being real.

    4. No way, a notorious BIG documentary? Who’da thunk it? We’ve never seen one of those before! I cant wait to hear this story for the first time. The life and times of Christopher Wallace. What a refreshing topic!

      1. Hahaha so true how many more documentaries do we really need about Pac and Biggie’s lives and speculation about who killed them and why this has all been done like a hundred times already fuck outchea with this bullshit

      1. When you hit puberty then we can have a conversation about hip hop. Yeah Average rapper that was the biggest rapper in the game. Snoop was the only rapper on his level in the mid 90s that’s how big biggie was. Comeback to me when drake or lil Wayne go diamond. That’s 10 million albums or more sold. No streaming bullshit. Back then you spent $30 or more on a cd.

      2. That shows how much knowledge u have of hip hop…if Jay Ross an Snoop demselves said he is the greatest, what little dumbass like u would know

    5. You guys have probably never heard of bob Marley right? The reason you have is because they keep talking about him. Keeping his name and music alive. Even though he died 30 years ago.
That’s what you do with legends
