Mariah Carey is back. Although she won’t be releasing a brand new album, she is bringing fans some extras to enjoy from her latest disc.
Mariah has announced plans to reissue her successful “The Emancipation of Mimi”, which will contain four brand new tracks.
Among them will be her latest hit “Don’t Forget About Us” which was co-produced by Jermaine Dupri and is already gaining a lot of buzz on the radio. It will also consist of a Styles and Jadakiss remix for “We Belong Together,” a Mariah remix for “So Lonely (One and Only Part 2)” and another JD assisted track in “What It Look Like.”
Aside from music, fans will also get a visual treat in the form of an accompanying DVD. The DVD will feature the videos the CD has already spawned. It will include “Get Your Number,” (Previously only available in Europe) “It’s Like That,” “Shake It Off” and “We Belong Together.” Along with all of this, it will also come with a web link for her latest video “Don’t Forget About Us” directed by Paul Hunter.
The reissue, titled “The Emancipation of Mimi: Platinum Edition” is scheduled for a November 15th release.
In other Mariah news, she is also up for various Vibe awards. The singer/actress was nominated for “R&B Voice of The Year”, as well as Best R&B Song with “We Belong Together” and two of the most important awards if the night, “Album of the Year” and “Artist of the Year.” The Vibe Awards will be televised on UPN on November 15th.
