The Jacka & Laroo Speak On “Blood Shot Eyez” Video, New Album

Premiering on HipHopDX on Tuesday of this week, The Jacka & Laroo’s “Blood Shot Eyes” video was shot as a conclusion to the “20 Bricks Video Trilogy.” The video trilogy is a street story following the drug dealing duo based in the Bay Area, California. With the edgy content of the video, the artists behind the message spoke to HipHopDX to explain their vision.

“Part 3 continues right where Part 2 left off: revenge,” The Jacka told DX. This time instead of taking out the enemy, the duo kills an innocent pregnant woman before getting trapped in the woven web. Jacka explained, “The video shows that anything can happen in street life,” as Laroo interjected, “There is no winning in the game. You could be drug dealing and at war but end up going down for anything…the best thing to do is get out of the game when you’re up.”

With this message applying to today’s increasingly violent streets, Jacka encouraged those who can relate to, “Take life slow. All money is not good money. Fast life is short lived.”

All three songs from the “20 Bricks Trilogy” can be heard on The Jacka & Laroo’s collaboration album entitled Neva Be The Same, which is in stores now.
