Talib Kweli Says Rick Ross Apology “Unacceptable” & Asks Lil Wayne To Apologize
Following the fallout from Rick Ross’ lyrics on “U.O.E.N.O.,” which many believe condone rape, Talib Kewli took a stance on the hot-button issue. Kweli explained that Ross is a “misguided” person, and explained that Ross’ “apology” in which Ross stated that the situation was “a misunderstanding” was “unacceptable.” Kweli also took Lil Wayne to task, stating that the Cash Money rapper should apologize to Emmett Till’s family for his controversial line on Future’s “Karate Chop” remix. However, Kweli clarified his statements later in the week, explaining that he was simply expressing an opinion, and that he was a fan of both rappers. He also added that fans haven’t complained about rape lyrics from Eminem or the Notorious B.I.G.

Kid Cudi Splits With G.O.O.D. Music
Kid Cudi surprised fans this week when he left Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label. The genre-bending artist explained that he had planned to leave for “at least like six months.”
“I kind of knew where I wanted to go,” explained Cudi. “Then I was trying to figure out what the right decision would be…how to talk to him about it. I went through a process where I talked to Don C, and then I went and talked to Jay-Z. I got their opinions about how to approach things that I wanted to talk to him about it. Everybody gave me their blessings on how I was approaching it.”
