    Waka Flocka Flame’s Brother Kayo Red Reportedly Passes Away

    On Sunday (December 29), Waka Flocka Flame’s brother Kayo Redd reportedly passed away. 

    Few details emerged regarding the rapper’s death, but family members and business associates have confirmed the passing via social media sites. 

    Kayo’s mother, Debra Antney, confirmed reports of a passing in her family via Twitter, though she offered no further information. 

    Waka Flocka Flame confirmed reports of his passing with an “R.I.P.” tribute made via Flipagram.

    Drake Calls Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, mA.A.d city The Last Great Concept Album 

    This week, Vibe Magazine released outtakes of a 2013 interview with Drake in which he speaks on his approach to making music and the viability of concept albums in Hip Hop.

    “I feel like the music that I write is utilized in life,” he said. “It would be tough for me to go in conceptual storytelling. The last great concept album was [Kendrick Lamar’sgood kid, m.A.A.d city—still obviously true to his life but very conceptual. Very specific stories that need to be told. I always say hats off to that album. That album’s incredible, what an undertaking. For me, I would never want to be restricted to that.”

    Jim Jones’ Fiance Chrissy Lampkin Arrested For Aggravated Assault & Disorderly Conduct

    According to a report released Sunday (December 29) by TMZ, Love & Hip Hop cast member Chrissy Lampkin was arrested early in the morning stemming from an altercation with another woman in a New Jersey bar.

    Lampkin, who is well-known in part due to her publicized engagement to Harlem rapper Jim Jones, was featured as a main personality on Love & Hip Hop throughout the series’ first two seasons. A spin-off series chronicling the lives of the couple, Chrissy & Mr. Jones, was launched September of 2012. The second season of Chrissy & Mr. Jones premiered October 2013 and concluded with a season finale last month.

    TMZ cites a police department source from Edgewater, New Jersey, the city in which the incident occurred, as providing the news that Lampkin was taken into custody shortly before three in the morning. The same source told TMZ that the injuries sustained by the victim were severe enough to warrant a visit to a nearby hospital, as she required stitches above one eye.
