The Game and his son Harlem Taylor’s charitable efforts have continued thanks to a newly-launched fundraiser.
The father and son pair, who have partnered on past fundraisers, launched a campaign to help raise funds for three-year-old Zachaeus and his father, Daquan Waters.
Zachaeus was shot in the face in May, following a shooting in North Carolina that left his mother and her unborn child dead. The toddler was found next to the body of his mother.
The Los Angeles lyricist received word of Zachaeus thanks to his son, and together the two created a GoFundMe campaign for the three-year-old.
The Game, who says he was brought to tears by Zachaeus’ story, uploaded a photo of the child and his father to his Instagram profile and left the following caption:
“3 year old Zachaeus was shot in the face on his 3rd birthday & left for dead for hours laying next to his dead mother…My son @HvrlemTaylor found this story & keeping it [100], literally brought tears to my eyes so I immediately contacted the father & decided to make you all aware of this baby’s story so we could do what we do & raise $5000 quickly for him…No child on earth should ever have to experience something so tragic especially at such a young age!!! I’m starting the donations off with $1,000 in hopes my fans will FOLLOW & DONATE ANYTHING AS SMALL AS $1 & help @daquanwaters & his son pull their lives back together, THEY REALLY NEED OUR HELP.”
Although the GoFundMe for Zachaeus was launched just this week, it has already received nearly $10,000 in donations.

For all y’all out there thinking somebody is reaching for social attention or exploiting a child, you need to check yourself a lot. This is a child who needs help clearly so stop trying to bring in negative connotations to the situation when attention should be paid to that child and his well being. The Game is doing something a lot of these other rappers should do; grow up be a man and help out those who come from the same struggle that they grew up with.
Then he can donate and help out in private. No need to pat himself on the back every time that he does something.
