The Game has come to the defense of his 12-year-old daughter after fans criticized her dress as “inappropriate.”
It all started when the Drillmatic rapper shared a photo on Instagram of his daughter, Cali Lynn Dream Taylor, in a tight-fitting silver dress and makeup at a 16th birthday bash for Diddy’s twin daughters.
The Game paired the photo with another picture taken when his daughter — who is a fashion model, according to her Instagram bio — was much younger, and said his baby girl was growing up so fast.
“Somebody please tell the LORD to help…. She was just 2 years old like a week ago…. Now my baby is 12 years old, growing up & it won’t stop,” he wrote before promoting Cali’s new Instagram page.
“DISCLAIMER: before the internet get to INTERNET’n, me & her mother both agreed to let her do her make up for the young & beautiful @the_combs_twins sweet 16 birthday party].”
Despite The Game’s disclaimer, the internet had a lot to say about the young girl’s outfit, with numerous fans criticizing the rapper’s parenting skills. One critic in particular called her dress flat out “inappropriate.”
However, the Compton native refused to apologize and defended his daughter’s wardrobe choice, as well as his and Cali’s mother’s decision to allow her to wear it.
“I’m gonna say this once so people who aren’t her parents get it,” Game wrote in a lengthy comment on The Shade Room‘s Instagram post. “My daughter is 12 & both of her parents are more than strict. Tiffney is a school teacher with a masters degree & 2 other degrees who is an amazing parent & is very capable of raising our daughter to be great even if I wasn’t in the picture… but I am in the picture so…”
“Tiffney called me & asked me would it be okay for my daughter to wear the dress in the photo to the twins party… after talking to her thoroughly for over an hour about it, I agreed to let my daughter rock.. being that she wears a school uniform 5 days a week.”
He continued: “My daughter has grown tremendously over the last year & is now almost 5’9 in height & beautiful. She’s a straight A student & is shy in most cases & dresses like a Tom boy in baggy jeans and Dr. Martin boots damn near everyday.
“The twins had a futuristic bday theme & my baby wanted to look great & be in full confidence going to support her friends celebration. I am her father & her protector and she is & will always be an amazing young woman. I wish everyone happy holidays & thanks for your opinions on a child that belongs to US but we GOT THIS.”
Regardless of the critics, it seems The Game has always had a strong relationship with his kids. To celebrate his 41st birthday in 2020, his children saved up their allowances and came together to buy their daddy a new Tesla.
The Game most recently celebrated his 43rd year of life on November 29, and had a fairly solid 2022, dropping off his expansive 10th studio album Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind earlier this year.
The 30-track project, which Game declared Album of the Year, boasted a star-studded guest list that included Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Pusha T, NBA YoungBoy, A$AP Rocky, Chris Brown, Roddy Ricch and more.
It’s sad woman don’t think they look sexy without whoring out their body. It’s okay not to be half naked get some self respext.
If you read the article it said she wears a uniform 5days a week. Even though I don’t agree with the choice to let her wear that outfit, I do understand where he is coming from. The problem is we have to many millennials who don’t know how to wipe their asses yet let alone social media is really destroying our nation as a whole. When you have celebrities half dressed what do you expect. Beyonce ass always half ass dressed. Pre teen and teen girls are notorious for hiding their personal lives from their parents. Rich or poor, that doesn’t matter.
