Hip Hop stalwart Talib Kweli is readying the release of his forthcoming album, Radio Silence, which comes seven months after the Black Star MC’s The Seven EP with Styles P. In anticipation of the project, the Brooklyn native has shared the tracklist, revealing a bevy of guest stars.

Rick Ross, Jay Electronica, Anderson .Paak, Freestyle Fellowship’s Myka 9, singer Yummy Bingham, Waka Flocka, BJ The Chicago Kid, Datcha, Bilal and Rober Glasper all contribute to the 11-track album.

Previously released singles include “She’s My Hero,” a powerful Oh-No-produced track in honor of 14-year-old Bresha Meadows who shot and killed her father after years of alleged abuse. Kweli then dropped a video for “Heads Up Eyes Open” with Ross and Bingham earlier this month.

Most recently, he also shared the album cut “Let It Roll,” which can be heard below.

    1. Please don’t let the virtue signaling run wild on this album… I am a Kweli fan, but his recent outspoken disdain for the current presidency makes me worry that he will ruin his opportunity to make another great album like Eardrum or his prior releases. Please Kweli, make a real hiphop album. Nobody wants to hear millionaires whine about Trump anymore…

      1. We need more music addressing the current state of affairs in the world. Too bad you young idiots don’t get the message

        1. these guys are fkn morons. crying about HIS content as if there’s an abundance of people speaking about TRUTH. smh idiots shoot down the messenger of truth but not the One who lies to US.

      2. You really are walking talking internet buzz word “cliche” . Last year everyone was either a cuck or a snow flake or a he did nuffink . Learn to think for yourself and engage your brain .

        1. Well as a hiphop fan, i just want to enjoy the music, but sadly the artists that I have listened to for decades have decided to regurgitate the mainstream media’s anti-trump/anti-america rhetoric. If I want to hear liberals lecture me and virtue signal I will turn on MSNBC or CNN. Just like football fans just want to be entertained and watch a football game without having see these over privileged athletes insult America by protesting the national anthem. Stop ruining entertainment by virtue signaling, I’m not trying to hear rhymes written by Rachel Maddow.

          1. “As a hiphop fan, i just want to enjoy the music” .Have you even listened to the album “Train of Thought” ? . You do realise that Talib’s music has always had a political slant to it. The first album had tracks such as “Down for the count ” “This means you ” and that was back in 1999 -2000 way before Trump and internet buzzwords .I bet you can’t even back up this statement (artists that I have listened to for decades have decided to regurgitate the mainstream media’s anti-trump/anti-america rhetoric ) . Who are these hip-hop artists ? If you’ve been listening to HipHop as you claim for decades you will be aware that the true essence of HipHop has always been anti establishment and anti system . I stand by my earlier point “you are sadly a walking talking internet cliche” . You’re like a lot of people who jump on the latest internet buzzwords after they become popular on 4chan/Reddit and then 6 months later get regurgitated by the general public(sheep) . O and for the record I have no faith or belief in any of the self serving politicans whether (republican or democrat) .

    2. Here comes some privileged, PC self righteous bullshit. Strap your backpack on tight, and get a chai mocha soy latte.

    3. Kweli man! Waka and Ross on tracks???? I don’t know how that’s gonna sound. The 7 was dope no doubt, but Talib done fell off like Lupe. You gats to evolve. Can’t make angry ‘against the system’ music forever

      1. Especially after keeping so silent on the US’ actions when Obama was President.

Democrat in Office: Corporations are the Devil
Republicans in Office: Republicans are the Devil

This shit is why Michael Moore kept so quiet the last 8 years too.

    4. As I feared a good album against whats released this month but a weak album as per Kweli standards. Too much trying to be ill coming off condescending and contrite while at the same time adding Ross and Waka to try to appeal to the trap mumble crowd he keeps castigating.

      1. Nope that’s nothing new he has always worked with rappers you wouldn’t expect him to. He worked with Gucci Mane on the track Poltergeist in 2010 .
