T.I. Rips Criminal Justice System For Charging 12-Year-Old Rapper With A Felony

T.I. is calling out the criminal justice system for charging a 12-year-old rapper with a felony.

Corey J — who also goes by Lil C-Note — was arrested last October for selling CDs at a Georgia mall. Last week, he appeared in court where he faced charges of disorderly conduct with violence, criminal trespassing and an obstruction felony.

Tip shared a screenshot of two television news stories, comparing Corey J’s situation with a white woman accused of hanging a toddler in her basement who only received probation for her alleged crime.

“Give a 12 year old prison time for selling CDs And a middle aged witch probation for hanging a baby?!?!?!” he wrote in the caption. “#ThisISAmerica #USorELSE.”

At Corey J’s February 27 court date, his attorney Mawuli Davis reportedly denied all charges.

“When he was there, he was not selling any CDs or doing anything that would have been prohibited he was there meeting other artists,” Davis said.

Corey J was in Georgia visiting family when the incident took place. Police say he was told twice to stop selling his mixtapes before he was ultimately arrested. His aunt captured the entire interaction on video and the clip soon went viral.

    1. T.I. is a real bitch. What a confused, contradictory, sad creature. I bet he beats his own children

    2. The main advice I would give to black children of todays america is do not under any circumstances listen to anything your mother says or tells you to do. She is gonna get you locked up or worse one day through her ignorant teachings. She doesnt care about you or anything but her own ego. In fact whatever your black mother tells you to do, you should probably 9 out of 10 times do the opposite. You will live a lot happier and more prosperous life. Thank me later.

    3. “The country which allowed me, a black man, to achieve incredible success and a net worth of $50 million dollars, also systemically oppresses black people.” -T.I., probably

    4. Yeah. The kid resista arrest, is trespassing then obstructs justice when the cop places his aunt under arrest. They then show a clip of the invesent esited to the point where the cop is just holding the kid by the arm. Not anything leading up to it. This site itself said “kid charged with felony for allegedly selling CDs.” That’s not even a crime. Totally misleading rave baiting bullshit. This is all sad and embarrassing. This kid deserves the felony. At this point, he’s pulling. Sommellet on us. He was wrong, they should offer him to plea to a felony at this point, or charge him as an adult. They’re going to release the bodycam footage from the cop as soon as everyone is nice and cozy on this one.

    5. None of this is Felony activity. The fact it’s even a charge he has to face a judge for is utterly rediculous. You would actually have to have been convicted if trespassing and panhandling on numerous occasions in the same area for you to then face felony charges. But the kid ain’t even from the A

      1. Wow. You are slow. The felony was for OBSTRUCTION. he was resisting arrest. His aunt tried to get the cop off of him when the cop was RIGHTFULLY arresting him. He then told the aunt she was under arrest for Obstruction. When he went to arrest the Dindu aunt, the kid tried stopping him. Again, obstruction. If a cop tells you you’re under arrest, and he goes to handcuff you, and your boy jumps in the way and grabs him, you think that is a ticket dummy?

    6. T.I. showering us with his ignorance once again. This child did not and will not get prison time.

    7. Right or wrong as no colour. That aunt and the kid were in the wrong. And I blame the aunt. It’s that simple.

    8. ..on some hillbilly shit…more hillbilly in Georgia than muhfuckers in Afghanistan or Pakistan lol

      1. There are more hillbillies in Georgia than people who duck mothers in Pakistan or Afghanistan? Did you drop out of the 2nd grade?

    9. For the people on here defending this treatment of a young black child, maybe you should get off our culture and go rock with your white brethren. I hear country music channel has a website. Go there. It’s time to start cleansing the culture of interlopers

      1. Please shove your race card up your area, moron. I don’t care what race you are, crybaby. If a cop goes to arrest you, and I try to grab him so you can get away, that’s an FELONY. Obstruction of justice. Do people expect this to be an infraction, a seatbelt ticket? Bothe the kid, the aunt, and idiots like YOU are making black Americans look bad. It’s ok because he’s black? If he was Mexican this would be acceptable treatment? Him getting punished for the crime he commited?

    10. Let’s use a little common and sense. The boy did nothing that serious to warranted a felony. The kid may have done this or that but nobody should get a felony for this. People have done worst crimes and never spend anytime in jail.
