T.I. will be reportedly released from prison in just a few days.
According to MTV News, Tip, who is currently serving an 11-month sentence in Forrest City Correctional Facility in Georgia, will be moved to a halfway house on August 31st, a month before he was originally supposed to be released from prison on September 29th.
The Grand Hustle honcho entered prison back in November 2010 for violating his probation. He has since been updating fans on his status through his website, most recently posting his last open letter before his release.

UPDATE: According to XXLMag.com, T.I. will not be released from prison tomorrow as previously reported. Tip’s lawyer, Jonathan Leonard, says that the Bureau of Prisons doesn’t release information of prison releases until the very last minute and that “they don’t even cooperate with me and tell me much of anything.”
“The Bureau of Prisons makes all the decisions once [someone goes] into the federal system then the federal prisons is the governing body as to when he’s released, the judge has no control over it,” he explained. “And you don’t have any real contact with them, they don’t communicate with you and they don’t tell you when exactly he’s gonna be released.”
UPDATE #2: According to TMZ, T.I. was released from prison earlier this morning to either home confinement or a community living facility. Chris Burke, spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, says he was released at 7:29 a.m. and is “in transit” to finish out his sentence. Tip also tweeted to let fans know he’s out of prison.

TI is a great artist. He was on the verge of a Jay Z/crossover mass appeal with all of the hits, movies, and TV shows. However, after having a whole album about changing his ways “Old me dead and gone” and the TV show on showing kids why not to be dumb, he goes and gets locked up again. Kind of makes him seem like a hypocrite. Hopefully he can recover because he has a long history of making hits 24’s, Rubberband Man, Bring Em Out, Whatever You Like, Live ya Life.
