T.I. “Paperwork” & Logic “Under Pressure” First Week Sales Projections

According to projections released by HitsDailyDouble this week, T.I.’s Paperwork and Logic’s Under Pressure are both slated to sell between 65,000 and 70,000 units this week.

Paperwork serves as T.I.’s ninth studio album while Under Pressure serves as Logic’s first studio release. The release of the Gaithersburg, Maryland rapper’s album comes shortly after he appeared in a cypher at the BET Hip Hop Awards alongside Troy Ave, Detroit Che, Dee-1, and Lil Mama.

Prior to this week’s release of Under Pressure, Logic revealed that the album was compared to Kanye West’s Graduation and Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city.

“We had our homie OB come to listen,” Logic said during an interview with Complex in July. “He’s a producer from Maryland as well. And he was like ‘This is like some Graduation meets [good kid], m.A.A.d city.’ And I was like ‘Damn, that’s a pretty big [comparison].’”

The projected first week sales for T.I.’s Paperwork serves as a dramatic drop from 2012’s Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, which was projected to move between 150,000 and 175,000 units in its first week.

During an interview with AllHipHop.com last month, T.I. described Paperwork as “refreshing yet timeless.”

“When I first sat down with Pharrell, he told me to think ‘out of the stratosphere,’” T.I. said. “What solidifies the resulting Paperwork is a unique blend of refreshing yet timeless material. As Pharrell would put it, we’re trying to rewrite history.”

      1. Lol no he doesn’t tip is average at best and only gettin worse, not too mention his fake g and his need for attention, Logic wins by landslide

      2. get off Logic’s dick cornball

tip will sell for weeks while you bitches will forget about a logic in 21 days ya bunch of fake ass fans

    1. i didnt even know t.i. had a new album out…lol..he on a major and he only did 15,000 more than 50’s independant animal ambition and you idiots have the nerve to laugh at 50 Cent

      1. True 50 sold less on indie but he and 50 can do tours but Logic should of went indie the the major game aint working anymore

      1. drink your ensure and calm down nigga

it’s not that Tip fell off, that’s the way sales numbers are going nowadays. everybody bout to do startup Logic numbers one day. you need a chart top 40 single for your album to even make it to gold. shit’s gettin serious.

but Tip’s fanbase is much much deeper than Logic’s. so Logic’s sales are gonna halt real soon, Tip will keep being on them top 10 weekly sales for a month or so

      2. ^ Ehh, I don’t know man. Things aren’t looking good for T.I. right now. I’m hoping you’re right because these numbers are low for someone of his caliber and it might be his first to not go Gold since his debut, which ironically was also put out under the Sony label.

    2. niggas STILL laughing at album sales in 2014…smfh..

the only people in hip hop who sell records now days are..drake, jay z, lil wayne, eminem, kanye, kendrick, j cole and david banner..

    3. Wonder why tip is falling off at sales? Paperwork was good, though not tip’s best. I was expecting at least double with around 120k sales.

    4. Logic should have gone independent. He would have done the same no.s by himself and he would have made a lot of money. He has a loyal fanbase. The numbers are still good for the dwindling music industry though.

For T.I the numbers are just disturbing. This is one of the best albums of his career and the numbers are just disparaging for one of the biggest rap stars of our time.

    5. uptil I saw the bank draft which was of $4239 , I didnt believe that my cousin was like they say realy bringing in money in there spare time from there labtop. . there aunt started doing this 4 less than 17 months and resantly paid the morgage on their condo and purchased themselves a Smart ForTwo . why not check here

    6. Just more proof that a Lotta people who back artists on these boots don’t go out to show support buy coping the album. Your words mean nothing if you aren’t actually supporting the art. Smh

    7. Yeah but logic actually had fans go out and buy that many copies, it’s e #1 album on iTunes right now, the album is fucking fire and brings back true hip hop, anyone who hasn’t listened should. Ti probably had his white. Itch Iggy go buy like 20,000 copies, there’s no way his MEDIOCRE music sold triple what games awful music sold.

    8. It’s not bullshit, it’s a fact Game sold 32K. Enough.

No anonbitch. Game did 132k. Soundscan said he did 132k when I talked to them.

      1. Nigga. It’s 32k… You are straight making this up, bruh… Post a link to where it says it’s 132k, then…

      2. This article has nothing to do with gay ass Game and his huge lack of sales 32k first week bahhhaahaha somewhere Curtis is laughing

    9. I got this letter:

      Dear Johnny

We have made a mistake with Game’s album sales. He actually sold 132k.
We are unable to fix the mistake but he sold 132k.

      Yours truly,
      Soundscan.

      1. Dear Johnny, we are sorry to tell you that Game is no longer a “dope” artist, since the documentary and LAX he has fallen off completely. We tried to tell him to trim his Muslim beard and ditch the gay nose ring, but he is a man of his word and stuck with those decisions. He also refused to remove young thug, Rick Ross and usher from his album, we sincerely apologize but at least he only sold 32k first week.

        Sincerely, hip hop

      2. Dear Hiphop

Your irrelevant opinion I guess but according to soundscan’s letter, they made a mistake and it sold only 32k. I don’t see ross or usher on the album.

        From Johnny.

      3. Dear Weirdo

Usher and Ross have now taken over your brain and despite their omission from Games album they shall still remain in your brain.

      4. Dear teethgirl

You are a lying bitch who makes up shit in your favor. Game sold 32K and that’s that. You never recieved a letter from anyone.

Signed, somebody who’s fed up with your shit

      5. Little Girl? ROFL. Why the need to insult everyone? Now your feelings were definitely caught. All Im doing is just laughing my ass off in your pathetic attempt to be gangsta.

      6. No, I’m actually laughing at you. You were the ones catching feelings, making shit up. Trying to be gangsta? Lol You’re reaching.

      7. On a side note, are you already this pathetic? Im not and nothing you will say will change that. I wasn’t even on his side but then you attacked him with geniune anger.

I had to laugh my fucking ass off right there.

      8. Talking in third person isn’t gonna help you. You’re the one attacking with anger in your responses. Keep up the pathetic hilarity.

    10. Logic was handicapped. Target don’t sell Logic where I’m from so its actually remarkable that he sold almost 70,000. Thats 10x what AbSoul did and its almost what Schoolboy did with much more promo, anticipation and singles. Logic will be here for as long as he’s able to.

    11. i never heard 1 logic song in my life. T.I. lost hard… he should have kept it trill and not put Iggy and Skylar Grey on there. Young Thug is gay but that song goes pretty hard.

    12. You know it’s bad when Schoolboy Q/Rick Ross sold the most this year in Hip Hop which was like 150k and 180k?

The only rappers I see pushing more than 200k post 2013 is Drake, Cole, Kendrick, Eminem and Ye.

      1. Kendrick and Cole are each going to fall off heavily, eminem is a pop star so he doesn’t count, and Kayne Kardashian, despite pulling artists from more successful labels, it falling off.

      2. Kendrick and Cole are gonna rise heavily, not fall off, Eminem is a hip-hop star, not a pop star, and Kanye West isn’t falling off and isn’t pulling artists from other labels.

    13. all this talk about T.I.’s album sales just being down because of the times is a lame excuse. when Lecrae comes out selling 90K first week with no radio play and on an independent label

    14. This album was all over the place. It also had entirely too many features. Not surprised at all. He is struggling with his identity and it shows through his music. You either the dope man or you not the trigger man or you not You a family man/husband or trickin. Jeezy sold 165,000 about a month ago for first week sales. I thought he would at least sell the same coming from the same city/era etc. Maybe he should find something else to focus on for a career.

    15. Ok ima break a few things down for y’all. 50 cent last album did 50,000 1st week sale. ( which is independent ) people on major label is selling about the same if not less. Yo Gotti I am album did 48,000. Yo gotti is on a major. He’s signed to epic records. Keyshia cole album point of no return did 26,000 copies 1st week. She’s on a major label ( interscope record). Mariah Carey last album me. I am Mariah only did 58,000 1st week sales. She’s on def jam another major label. I can go on and on but you guys get my point. The best way to go in the music business is independent. At least you can keep most of your money off of CDs and tour. So when people say 50 cent flop they don’t know shit. He made at least 3 mil$$$ on his last album. Plus he gets to keep most of his money un like other artist signed to major on these 360 deal. People know facts b4 you start talking shit.

      1. realest shit u ever post! most these kids dont know shit about the business and just dick ride whoever gets marketed to them the rite way. and the fact these new fans use record sales to shit on artist is pathetic. why you care whos selling how much? are u making money off the albums? no so just shut the fuck up and focus on the quality of music. not the quantity it sells. vanilla ice sold a shit load of albums, does that mean hes nice? hell the fuck no. yall new fans and lil niggas getting into hip hop need to get ur shit together

    16. i havent heard one TI single on the radio for this new album. whats up with atlantic records radio promo dept? they dropped the ball on the promotion for this album big time.
