Stephen Curry has ruffled the feathers of Kendrick Lamar fans after admitting that he’s tired of hearing the Compton rapper’s hit song “Not Like Us.”
The Golden State Warriors guard was overheard speaking about the Drake diss track as it came on the speakers while he and Team USA teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis warmed up during their exhibition game against Serbia on Wednesday (July 17).

Curry could be heard saying: “Damn with this song! It’s not the only song in America.”
LeBron, who has seemingly been on Kendrick’s side in his beef with Drake, replied: “Personally, I love it.”

Curry’s comment didn’t sit well with Kendrick’s fans as many flocked to his Instagram page to defend the Compton rapper and his chart-topping track.
“I know you didn’t mean that with Kendrick’s song. Cmon Steph. You play in the west coast,” one user commented on the NBA legend’s most recent post.

Another said: “It’s the best song in America and u not like us,” while others quoted lines from the song at Curry including: “They not like us!!!! They not like us!!!”
Conversely, Jermaine Dupri celebrated the impact that “Not Like Us” has had since its release in early May.
In a post uploaded to his own IG page, the So So Def founder said: “I just saw Steph’s reaction to the Kendrick record and I thought it was very ironic because what he is feeling (Pause) is a record impacting the streets and this new generation is not use to that, I’m sure many of yall don’t understand what I’m saying, so let me know your thoughts!”
DJ Jazzy Jeff agreed with this assessment, saying: “I think what the issue is we used to have a few songs with this impact at the same time to spread it out alil more…because we haven’t had a Lean Back or a In Da Club in so long.”
Fellow NBA star Kevin Durant later came to the defense of his former Golden State teammate, commenting on Dupri’s post: “Maybe bro just wanna hear another song…”
While Steph Curry may be sick of hearing the song, “Not Like Us” looks set to remain inescapable for the rest of the summer.
Earlier this week, the Mustard-produced anthem returned to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, nine weeks after initially debuting atop the chart.

Adding insult to injury, it also continues to break Drake’s records as it recently became the fastest Hip Hop track to surpass 500 million streams on Spotify, surpassing the Drizzy’s “God’s Plan.”
