50 Cent’s diamond in the dirt has finally been found, as the Queens rap legend is now a member of the elusive 10 million club.

According to Chart Data, two decades after its initial release, the G-Unit boss’ 2003 Get Rich or Die Tryin‘ anthem “In Da Club” was certified diamond on Wednesday (November 1).

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (November 1), 50 reacted to the news of having the 43rd rap song to ever reach diamond status in a reflective post.

“In Da Club has officially reached Diamond 10,000,000 singles sold,” he wrote to IG. “The 43rd Hip Hop song to go Diamond, 121 songs of all time to do it. I feel good, I’m that thing 50cent.”

“In Da Club” served as the lead single heading into the February 2003 release of the G-Unit mogul’s seminal debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

The Dr. Dre-produced banger topped the Billboard Hot 100 that month to give 50 his first-ever No. 1 hit. Earlier this year, “In Da Club” surpassed one billion streams on Spotify and 50 received a plaque in the mail which he posted and gave younger artists some advice.

The official music video surpassed 1.5 billion views on YouTube in July 2022, making it the most popular 2000s rap video on the platform.

50 Cent also performed the classic cut during his surprise appearance at the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show in February 2022, and even brought back the G-Unit tank top and headband he used to wear in the early 2000s.

20 years following its release, “In Da Club” is still impacting pop culture. Pop star Ed Sheeran played a guitar-driven folk rendition of the anthem during a Los Angeles concert opening up for John Mayer in September.
