Bay-area veteran crew Souls of Mischief, who made their impact in the mid-90’s with 93 ‘til Infinity, are bringing back their underground sound for all to hear with Montezuma’s Revenge.
The album, due out November 10 on their own Hiero Imperium Records, boasts full production credits from legendary producer Prince Paul. To accompany their first album release in nearly a decade, the four-man group (A-Plus, Tajai, Opio, and Phesto) will also be hitting the road for a world-wide tour. The 35-date tour will begin in Los Angeles, California Thursday (Sept. 30), with several acts joining them along their travels.
Excited about their latest ventures, Tajai stated, “It’s a new album and a new beginning for us. Also, the fact that it truly is a world tour makes it exciting. We plan to hit Japan, Australia and New Zealand as well as Canada and the rest of the US next year. We even have a show in Bulgaria. That should be exciting!”
