Soulja Boy has played down his past beef with Bow Wow, and said the feud was over nothing more than their luxury vehicles.

In an interview with HipHopDX, Big Draco spoke about his “Marco Polo” collaborator and said the on-again-off-again feud between them all started over their Lamborghinis.

“Shout out to Bow Wow though, we was young,” he said. “We was young and when I look back on that shit I’m like, ‘Man, that shit was so funny.’ We were beefing about Lamborghinis, bro. Ain’t that some rich-ass, petty-ass, like what? Y’all beefing about whose Lamborghini go the fastest. Who’s Lamborghini the newest, like what the fuck y’all.”

He continued: “We cool, man. He hit my phone, I hit his phone. We dropped a collab project Ignorant Shit. We always be talking about doing new stuff together, whether it be shows … whatever. I feel like I’m at a point in my life where I got kids now, he got kids, we at a whole different level.”

Soulja Boy and Bow Wow seemingly rekindled their feud back in 2021 when it was announced they’d be facing off on the Verzuz stage. As the pair began trading jabs back and forth on social media, fans initially began to think there was genuine animosity between them, but Bow quickly clarified it was all fun and games with his former foe.

“Please get this clear,” Bow Wow wrote on Twitter at the time. “Soulja is my brotha for life. We will never in life beef. This is fun and games. I see fans like awww man here they go…. thats my dawg and thats why we can bag on each other the way we do. You guys have nothing to worry about.”

However, Soulja did up the stakes when he bet his aforementioned Lamborghini on the Verzuz showdown and said on Twitter that if Bow Wow emerged victorious he’d hand it over to him.

“If you win the Verzuz, I give you the pink slip to my Lambo,” Soulja Boy said in the video. “I bet $100,000 that you do not got your Lambo still. I still got my same Lambo, I bought my shit cash.”

Meanwhile, in another beef involving Bow Wow, while he’s open to ending his feud with his estranged mentor, Jermaine Dupri, it looks like things didn’t go well during a recent attempt to squash things.

In a video posted to his Instagram page earlier this month, the rapper-turned-actor tried to chummy it up with the super-producer backstage at the Lovers & Friends Festival. Dupri, however, didn’t look too pleased with his former protegée’s attempt, even as Bow Wow tried to playfully shove him.

Behind the duo, shouts of “hug him!” can be heard, as can “do it again!” suggesting that the pair previously hugged it out prior to the cameras getting switched on.
