Soulja Boy has always gone out of his way to assert his fearlessness, but newly surfaced documents of a shooting he was involved in tell a different story.
On Monday (October 9), content creator and journalist Mickey Truth shared alleged police statement forms filled out by the rapper following a 2008 home invasion and shooting in Henry County, Georgia.

The ordeal is something he has spoken about publicly before, but very differently from what the new records show.
“Like 5 or 6 dudes broke into my house,” he wrote in the statement. “I cut all the lights off and hid with my eyes closed.”

After the intruders left, “my homey came in the room and said they were gone and we all left the house,” he said.
Thought most of the writing in the paperwork is difficult to make out, it appears that he then wrote: “I shot a gun about five times then they took the gun and knock [sic] me down and ran out.”

In 2016, Soulja Boy was cleared of gun charges relating to the incident, but that hasn’t stopped him from retelling stories involving his arsenal of high-powered weaponry that ended with him allegedly shooting one of the intruders.
Big Draco recalled the ordeal during an interview with VladTV in 2016, in which he detailed the night his home was taken over by three or four masked men.
After DJ Vlad pressed him to explain in greater detail what happened that night, Soulja explained that he had held a party at a club he owned in Atlanta called Excalibur and that the would-be thieves followed him home to his gated community.
He added that they conspired with another member of his gated community, following him to his home. While in his recording studio with former SODMG signee Arab, his friend Jbar and another man in the living room, the masked men burst into the residence, prompting Soulja to leap into action by firing his gun.

“One n-gga run to the front door. I hop out, I start shooting, shot the n-gga,” he said. “Shot his ass. All the n-ggas run out the door. This n-gga on the floor. Walk up to this n-gga, take his mask off his head. Looked at it, saw who it was. I’m like, ‘Damn.’ Shot his ass again. He screaming and shit. I shut the door.”
