Snoop Dogg’s Son, Cordell Broadus, Admits Playing Football For Father’s Approval

After leaving the UCLA football team in August, Cordell Broadus, who is Snoop Dogg‘s son, took to Instagram to explain his relationship with the sport. Broadus made the post on his father’s birthday yesterday (October 20).

“I played football for my father because I thought that was the only way he would love me & be apart of my life,” he says in the caption for a picture of him in a football uniform with his father. “It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player. The best day of my life was when I heard those exact words; I love you dad hope you have a great birthday.”

Broadus was a four-star wide receiver recruit who chose the Bruins over Southern California and Arizona State. He is reportedly attending classes at UCLA.

    1. Next year Snoop birthday sneak peak….
Cordell Broadus ” I only partied with women to make my Dad Proud. I’m actually in the closet.”

    2. Kids always think they gotta do whatever their fathers like for the love and approval but what kids don’t see is that dads do or should love their kids for who they are not what they are all men see their sons as a extension of them and as long as my son takes what I teach them and take it to another level all dads are happy a father’s job is to mold their sons into better men then we are .

    3. well at least this kid tried. his older brother would ‘forget’ his cleats when snoop put him in a quarterback camp during the reality show days a few yrs ago. this kid had real talent it seems, but got to a big time program and lost the drive. still better than just settling for being a ‘weed rapper’ like his burnt out brother
