Snoop Dogg To Induct Tupac Shakur Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

Tupac “2Pac” Shakur‘s storied career will be honored this year with the late rapper’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Snoop Dogg will lead the induction next month, with unconfirmed rumors that he will be joined by mentor Dr. Dre in a tribute concert at the ceremony.

The news of 2Pac’s induction was reported by Rolling Stone on Sunday (March 26) on the heels of  a TMZ report that a three-song tribute featuring an all-star lineup was being performed. However, Rolling Stone confirmed that a final lineup has not been set in stone just yet.

Snoop Dogg and 2Pac first collaborated on the track “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted” from 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me album. Snoop has also credited himself with bringing 2Pac to the now-defunct Death Row Records at the height of its dominance in the industry in the ’90s.

TMZ sources claimed that Dr. Dre was close to signing on to perform with other West Coast stars in the planned tribute and that 2Pac’s hit “California Love” was one of the tracks. Joining 2Pac in the Hall will be Pearl Jam and Yes.

The ceremony takes place on April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

    1. Damn calm down player . I think PAC would have squashed his issues with Biggie and Bad boy, and everybody he had issues with he would have been a leader possibly starting a real political party for us and so much uplifting ish that would have helped all minority/poor

    2. Pac hated both Dre and Snoop and knew they were suckers. He would have never signed off on this and both Dre and Snoop KNOW that. But I guarantee they’ll be getting paid appearance fees for this. Are they going to donate that money to a charity in Pac’s name? Doubt it. Dre and Snoop are frauds

    3. Maybe after this he might finally get a much needed Star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood ..Shout outs to New York for inducting Tupac first in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame..

      1. The Walk of Fame is funny – basically, celebrities pay for their own walk of fame (30,000$) So, anyone ‘celebrity’ have one. If you saw some of the names you’d laugh. Wonder why Dre and Snoop don’t put up the money so Pac can have a star . . . Oh, it’s because they really don’t give a fuck. They’re doing the hall of fame shit for their own names and publicity.

    4. I’m afraid that the only PAC that matters is AIPAC. They are Trump’s masters.

    5. I guess with a site like hhdx it’s best to just like comments. No point taking the time to write a debatable statement- they’ll just DELETE it.

    6. That’s kind of a disgrace seeing as at the time Tupac died, he was very open about noir likening Snoop Dogg or Dr Dre… sad. People will always take advantage of a dead mans work.

    7. I hate how they seem to be only Highlighting His time on Death Row which was very short. They Ignore all the work Pac put in on his solo career & with Digital Underground. He sold more on Tha Row, but made more Impactful Music prior to signing & It should be celebrated

    8. PAC constantly referred to Dre as a HOMO the last year he was alive. He was disgusted with Dre’s homosexuality which can be heard on many songs & interviews. He was pissed at Dre for not siding with him against the East Coast. It’s absolutely ridiculous for Dre to have anything to do with PAC

    9. Why Dr Dre was unscathed with that that level of sprayed bullet while they were together in the car? Question to be answered

    10. Snoop shouldn’t be allowed to do it! Was it 2pac Estate that made that decision??. Mopreme should do it!. Edi,Treach,Jada,Leila Steinberg all better choices then Snoop.

      1. U took the words right outta my mouth. Also i could b wrong but from my understanding i dont think pac & snoop were cool all like that.

    11. My heart is beating and feeling warm knowing Tupak will now RestInPeace. Snoop’s heart is showing his pride and dispair from circumstances that are no fault of our own.
